Two "men" caught in S.C. with explosives...shall we play "geuss the ethnicity/religion"?

How will the guilty-white-bed-wetting-liberals spin this one?

GOOSE CREEK, South Carolina (AP) -- Two men were detained after police found a suspicious item in their car during a routine traffic stop for speeding near Charleston, South Carolina, authorities said Sunday.

Berkeley County sheriff's Lt. Vince Lombard said the men were being held pending a charge of unlawful possession of an explosive device.

Lombard would not say what the device was or what it was that bomb technicians from neighboring Charleston County exploded at about 2:45 a.m. Sunday.

The item made a loud bang, similar to a firecracker, when it was demolished, authorities said.

U.S. Highway 176 was closed at about 7 p.m. Saturday and federal officials later said there was "no immediate threat."

Goose Creek, South Carolina, is home to the Naval Weapons Station, which houses the U.S. Naval Consolidated Brig, a military prison where enemy combatants have been held. The traffic stop took place about 7 miles from the sprawling Navy facility.

The car was heading west, away from Goose Creek, when it was pulled over about 7 miles from the sprawling Navy facility, Lombard said.

Goose Creek, with a population of about 30,000, is located about 20 miles north of Charleston.

Gee, can't say. But this liberal is not guilty and doesn't wet the bed. He's also someone who has looked down the barrel of a rifle at an enemy soldier and squeezed the trigger. What sort of rock headed conservative are you?

I'm not. See, both sides hate me the bed-wetters AND the Right Wing Whackos (especially the religious whackos).

So when the next wacko Catholic runs riot with an automatic weapon in a shopping mall, we should empty the US of all Catholics? Or the British should have emptied the UK of all Catholics in the seventies, followed by all the Protestants?

Simplistic hysteria is, tired, outworn and does not solve these problems. The solutions sound nice, are good for a self-satisfying wiggle of the shoulders, but they never solve anything.

Bed-wetter, well we all were in the days of our youth, including you.

Me a religious wacko? Love it

Speak for yourself, I always made it off the bed before I peed on myself and all over the floor.

Man with AK-47 assault rifle arrested after leaving Dearborn's Hemlock Park

PUBLISHED: September 12, 2007

DEARBORN - Houssein Zorkot, a 26-year-old Dearborn resident, was arraigned Tuesday in 19th District Court on multiple felony charges, including carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent — a five-year felony.

Zorkot, a third-year medical student (Note: were the ones arrested recently in a bombing plot Doctors or something?) at Wayne State University, was allegedly armed with an AK-47 assault rifle and dressed in black clothing with camouflage paint covering his face when he was arrested Saturday in Hemlock Park.

According to police, Zorkot was observed attempting to leave the park in a black SUV after officers had received reports of a man carrying a rifle in the area. He was placed under arrest and is scheduled to undergo a preliminary examination at 9 a.m. Sept. 21 in 19th District Court.

Zorkot has also been charged with one count of possession of a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle and one count of felony firearm. He remains in custody on a $1 million bond (cash, no 10 percent). (Note: this is not the normal Bond for this charge, must be some reason they upped the bond amount)

Zorkot Update

We wrote here about the arrest of Houssein Zorkot, a third-year medical student who was apprehended in Dearborn, Michigan, with a loaded AK-47 and his face covered with camouflage paint. Zorkot maintained an Islamist web site on which he proclaimed his admiration for Hezbollah.

Today, the local newspaper in Dearborn reported that a laptop seized from Zorkot's home is being examined for any evidence of connections with terrorist groups. It also contains a fuller description of the circumstances of Zorkot's arrest than was published earlier this week.

Zorkot's arrest has gone virtually unreported. A Google News search indicates that it has been covered in the local Dearborn and Detroit newspapers. Fox News picked up the story within the last 24 hours. Beyond that, it has been reported only by Newsbusters, Spero News, the Christian Broadcasting Network and Power Line and a handful of other web sites that, for some reason, don't show up on Google News.

Well well what have we here? To quote an astute fellow JU Blogger -
...shall we play "geuss the ethnicity/religion"?

I have not verified the Google news issue but I found it mentioned a very few times in a search. Just pointing this out to bolster the idea behind this thread...

PS here is his website..

Well, maybe we don't have to kick them out...we could, uh...put them into groups. A camp if you will...and they could all stay with their friends and family and could concentrate on family values and prayers. Yeah...concentration in a camp...a Concentration Camp! Oh wait...that's bad...

America isn't a night club, you don't kick out people because you feel like it.
