i downloaded logon studio and attempted to install a logon screen. it was a bad file and now im stuck in an endless loop of restarting. f8 doesnt do anything and i cant figure out how to either 1. start in safe mode or 2. select a diff. operating system.

HELP!! its my laptop and i love it. i hope i didnt kill it.

I haven't seen an endless loop of restarting or option to change OS in LogonStudio.

Maybe you mean Bootskin?

safe mode is usually... boot, the when 1st screen pops up hit F8

Same thing happened to me. Its def something with Logon Studio. There is a theme that is faulty and windows displays a Invalid Entry at Point 12. If you hit enter it endlessly displays this message. Computer doesnt automatically restart. You are not able to logon. And this message is displayed in safe mode as well as any other form of trying to access Windows. I cant figure this out either people! Does anyone know how to get in and uninstal program without being able to get into the Windows?

If you hit enter it endlessly displays this message.

 

After you click it 10 times you will get the classic logon dialog and will be able to logon. Then open logonstudio, select another logon click OK, then delete bad logon.

can try pressing ctrl alt del twice when the logon is supposed to come up, you should be able to logon that way. After you logon, disable logonstudio by selecting the default logon.  :-|

Don't forget to send details of the bad Logon to one of the moderators so it can be checked out :)

I still think both are talking about bootskin (or bootskin pro)
