Many years of hatred in Iraq

Americans need to harass their politicians.

The inspiration for this article is from a meditation I was having with God. The question God wanted me to answer is "if it is correct to allow the current irresponsible behavior of authority figures to continue?"

The question came about from an encounter with an individual that was parked in one of our taxi parking spaces. My contention with God was that things are so bad that it is better not to get involved. When I got involve, it was as if I was the bad guy just cause I raised my voice and asked the peson to "move his vehicle or I woudl call the cops.

In addition, lately I have realized how much I am surrounded by savage beasts, the other cab drivers. When I told this person to move the attitude of the other drivers towards me was "why is he telling any one anything? We need to get rid of him." The reality is that these type of law breakers have more political power than me. Cops listen to them and so do the taxi inspectors, even though they are the most wicked people I have ever met.

However, the way God put it to me is "how do you think things got this bad?" The answer is by good people do nothing. Then God asked me to compare my situation with that of the current foolishness in America over the Iraq war.

The democrats and the news media are doing everything to brainwash the average American in to thinking that the war with Iraq was wrong and missmanaged. Many Americans see the parrallel between Iraq and terrorism. Democrats say that this threat is the figment of many imaginations.

Through all this going back and forth over the issue many Americans are still not registered to vote. Therefore to the question can I afford not to follow through on speaking about injustice I have to answer no. If things are bad now, they will only get worse if nothing is done.

Therefore, regardless, of the American's point of view on the war in Iraq, people need to start applying their political power. The reason that politicians do not listen to the majority is because the majority is asleep at the wheel.

The issue of Iraq is a very crucial issue. It is costing lives and big money. The prime minister of Iraq has stated that he believes the Iraqi security forces can handle the secuirty needs of the country.

I would suggest that the president take him up on his offer and with draw many of the troops. Some soldiers can stay as advisers, secure in the green zone.

I personally think that it will requirre the Americans leaving for the Iraqis to step up to the challenge. I also do not believe that the future American/Iraqi relationship will be one of good terms.

This is unfortunate. However, the people in Iraq have years of serving the wrong God and growing dead to a good morality. I cannot see how five years of American involvement in Iraq is going to undo 1000's of years of bittterness, hatred, and a violent hearts and minds.

Therefore, Americans need to vote and harass their elected officials until these officials do the majorities will. I would follow the presidents lead of helping an associate deal with a serious security question as long as the associate is sacrificing as much as the Americans.

Moreover, the reason politicans are so nonresponsive is the many years that Americans avoided getting involved in pressuring the powers that be to do their jobs. Now politicians listen to their "base". These are the people who make political contributions and who's names appear on the voters roster.

Do we really want more self-interested behavior by politicains as the issues in the world get more complex and demanding? "

You certainly are living in your own dream world. The media are not even showing or telling the whole picture. what you see and read (that what you think is fabricated) is not even half the truth. The truth is much uglier. and who exactly is saying that the threat "is the figment of many imaginations" ? the problem was that W left the scene of the crime and went after an illusion for the middle east. He wanted to remake it on his own terms thinking that it is a space with empty headed people with no idea of where they come from or where they are going. that only shows how ignorant he is along with all who have the same type of thinking.

aren't you contradicting yourself here? you dismiss the "American's point of view" at the same time you ask the majority to force the politicians to implement the will of the majority.

whatever you really wanted to say, the majority spoke already and said what their will is. Now, who is preventing that will from being carried out? Can you guess that? and you say the democrats are brainwashing the "avrage American"? The average American got brainwashed by W's lies and deciet, they are no more. Finally they woke up to his lies and arrogance.

guys who park illegally in taxi stands have more political power than you? once again, ya think parking in a taxi stand gets em classified as 'most wicked' by god too?

if they did, in fact, listen to the majority, we'd be pulling troops outta iraq now. that's what the majority told them to do in the last election.

I also do not believe that the future American/Iraqi relationship will be one of good terms.

I hope you don’t mind me saying but this is an issue that you should have thought of even without God’s help or figured out years ago. I mean, this is simply the right thing from the get go to not accept anyone at all to continue with irresponsible behavior. The trick is to figure out who gets to decide what irresponsible behavior is. Example, I don’t think it’s irresponsible for a woman to wear a skirt that reaches the knees, I think it’s still acceptable and lady like, I mean after all weren’t Adam and Eve fully naked? But I know so many people who would consider a woman wearing a skirt that short nothing less than a whore because of their religious beliefs.

I am one who hates people who park in a handi-cap parking even for 15 second when they do not have a permit for it. I can’t stand people who talk on the phone while driving when there is a law against it, people who take red lights long after it’s been red, people who put their shopping carts in the center of the isle and block access from both directions, people who talk or use cell phones during movies, etc. This is all common sense and like Moderateman’s article stated “Common sense is dying or already dead”.

Now about the Iraq issue, I blame Republicans as much as I do Democrats. From my perspective they are all lying to us. Their only real concern is with their party having control over the Gov’t. The peoples will is not really their main concern. It’s all games to them, this whole back and forth over who thinks is better for the job has gotten Americans to devide themselves almost in the same manner Muslims are divided into factions like Sunni, Shiites and Kurds. Keep it up and we’ll end up have a Civil War of our own here. But I blame the average American (as I always have) for allowing our politicians run amuck and do what they want. The average American has reached a new level of laziness to the point of appointing a political representative to decide for them and expect them to know exactly what they want and therefore they just retire back to their recliners and catch up on the CSI, American Idol, 24, 90210, etc. that they set TiVo up to record while they went to the polls or campaigns. Blaming the Democrats for being a bunch of jerks that don’t really care about what Americans really want is just as bad as blaming Bush for single handedly screwing up the country in 6 years. There is enough blame to go around for decades of bad decisions by both sides of the field from every house.

The media isn’t any better. With a “I want the best rating” attitude and a disregard to even double check a story before posting or putting it on TV, what can we expect from them? The media has 1 and only 1 goal, to get people to watch their networks, buy their newspapers, log on to their websites to acquire fame and fortune. Bruce Almighty is the best example of what a real reporter is all about and their true goal of becoming the main news anchor, God like powers and all. Sad that the odds of the same end results as the movie are so slim you wouldn’t know they were there unless you turned them sideways.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times. The American people need to wake up and realize that the entire American Gov’t system is corrupt; both parties have proven neither can be trusted or expected to do the right thing for the sake of the people and not just for the ones that give them money. What has happened in recent elections is not proof of people waking up and wanting to make things right, it only proves that we are still too lazy and we just went for the next option to see what would happen. The Democrats didn’t win Congress for being the better option but for being the only other option to try something different. Proof of the laziness that has taken over the average Americans lifestyle to want to just duck tape something rather than actually fix it. The 2006 elections was a Duck Tape election done by a guy/gal from a lazy chair with a cheap beer next to them and lacking skills to replace something that is not working properly.

I do have to point out that you being a religious person I find it weird to hear you state that Muslims are “serving the wrong God”. I was taught to respect other people’s religions. I am no one to decide what God Muslims should follow considering not all of them are evil or follow evil ways; I can however criticize those who use this religion as an excuse to do harm to others in the same way I am ashamed that so many Catholic priest have been involved and found guilty or admitted to child sex abuse, me being Catholic and all. No one is perfect and or free of sin.

In the end an Administration who bases its decisions on their religious beliefs is as corrupt as on who is free of religion. In the end they are nothing more than men who are not perfect and prone to sin. Men who need money just like every other person in this country in order to survive.

This is not a Gov’t by the people, for the people. This is a Gov’t by the people who run it, for the money they make from it.

Leave it to kingbee to make fun of peoples beliefs and opinion rather than actually debate the article itself. Is this the end result of you constant battles with some of the people on this site that you gave up trying to be smarter than everyone else (a lost battle from day 1) and turned to comedian?

At least Sean tries to debate topic of the article somewhat even if he comes across in the same comedian style you seem to have mutated into.

Shame and I thought you were a worth while debater on this site, oh well, no loss.
