saying goodbye to an old friend

Today I said goodbye to my old friend, GalCiv (Gold) for OS/2. I'll always remember the fun I had playing that game as I get dismantled by this new incarnation of GalCiv! It is finally time to retire the grizzled veteran.

My boxed copy of GalCiv2 for OS/2 still sits on my shelf. I couldn't resist taking a fond glance at it the other day as I was installing GalCiv/Win, thinking of all the water that's gone under the bridge since then, and how cool it was to see the rare gem that is GalCiv reemerge from the rough, all shiny and new again.

Only an hour until I start tonight's session! :D Can't wait!
