TweakVista pegs hard drive, freezes system

When I run TweakVista, it pegs my HDD and makes the system unresponsive. I left it running for over 12 hours once but it never cleared up. The entire time, the HD light is stuck on and the entire system is unresponsive. It happens every time I run it. I can't kill TV because I can't get the task manager up to do it. I have to push the reset button on my system each time.

Any ideas for things I can try to troubleshoot?

Hmm. At a guess it might be unhappy that we are trying to access the SMART data. Other than that, I'm not sure what it might be. You could try disabling SMART in your BIOS if that is an option in there. TweakVista is just asking for information, though, so it shouldn't make your system unresponsive.
