Bush Threatens Veto of Border Protection $

Last night CNN ran a story about the fact that since 2004 the Bush budget has CUT funding for border protection operations in Arizona by 60%. The story went on to say that the State of Arizona has requested the restoration of those cuts 30 times and the Bush Administration refused to restore the cuts.

Arizona is where more drugs enter the U.S. then any other point along the Mexican/American Border. It is also an area were significant numbers of illegal alien’s come into the United States. Given the renewed warnings of likely attacks on the U.S., why would we CUT funding to safeguard our border?

The Democrats have restored the funding for Arizona in the 2008 budget and were informed by the White House that Bush would VETO an appropriation that would restore the border protection funding for Arizona.

I would like any of the Bush supporters on this Blog site to provide a coherent answer to these two questions:

Why would the funding have been cut?

Why, given the danger we face, would a President threaten to Veto restoring these funds to protect our border?

if i was a terrorists bent on attacking the USA

i would not for any reason enter this country illegally.

i would not need to bring any weapons with me.

i would not need to bring any allies or maybe a few allies with me.

and don't say we need to ban weapons because someone bent on hurting you or me will find a way to get the weapons.

Your search for "Bush Threatens Veto of Border Protection" returned no results.
We recommend that you try the following:

Check your spelling.
Remove double quotes. Quotes indicate an exact phrase, removing them broadens your search.
Try using fewer words, your search may be too specific. Example: Instead of typing "tax free municipal bonds" try searching for "municipal bonds" or "bonds".
Try different words.
Rephrase your search using synonyms or related words. Example: Instead of "italian cuisine" try "italian cooking".

Because the "DEMOCRAPS" have "loaded" the bill with pork. That's why GW refuses to sign it.

May I ask what TV show on CNN you saw this?

I'm sorry but I just can't find anything about Arizona, Democrats, Bush veto or border protection funding anywhere. The only veto's from Bush I can find is for the stem cell, the war funding bill with troop withdraw and the detainees. You need to do better than your word Col, but I promise to watch CNN tonight to see if they talk about it again.

Hmmm, I guess you not responding means I win this round? I mean I am only going based on how you think you win an argument based on the lack of responses to you own articles. This would mean I win since you have not responded yet.
