It's Patch Tuesday again!

July '07 Edition

Yes, it's that time once again where Microsoft releases several patches for Windows.  Some of these appear to be "critical" updates and I see some updates for Office as well.

Make sure you open Windows Update and get the latest fixes.

Didn't know there was such a thing for Vista, but I concur with Zubaz....'tis not a good way to skin and WB beats it hands down anyhow.

Running XP home SP2. Auto update keeps trying to put in NET Framework update over and over. Get a message that update is installed and complete then 1 min later the little yellow shield is back with the same update! What gives? Turned off zone alarm and AVG when installing but same result. Never had this with an update before.

Running update as I type, OK it seems to have finally took. Never happened before. Must have ran updates 7 times before this one installed. Very strange. I wonder why?

Chasbo, have the same set up as you, didn't run into any problems. I did have to allow access to the internet through Zone Alarm for the changes. Would/could the browser you are using have anthing to do with it? I'm using IE-7.

First time froze my computer. Had to pull the plug. In over a year this has NEVER happened. Second attempt just said "Failed". Third time it finely took.
I don't get it either. It's a update for SP1 Net Framework 1. I have SP2 - Net Framwork 2. O well I guess it's out of the way now.

Chasbo. I was looking at the time on your post. It was the exact same time that I up dated.
I have 5 computers. Three of them updated with no problems yesterday.
Next time don't update at the same time as I do.
