So, where's all the extra oil Bush went in to Iraq for? That is why he went in, right? To get me more oil so I can drive my 5 SUVs and fly my private jet around? Where is it? I only want to pay a buck a gallon.

I knew we didn't go in for oil. The whole oil thing was about the same as the WMDs. There was nothing there once we got there. But nobody brings that up now, we all just forget about the oil thing, or just keep living in ignorance.

It is a lot easier to blow up a pipeline in the middle of the desert then it is to patrol the thousands of miles of pipeline. 1 point bad guys. Of course we would not have to patrol those pipelines if we had not pissed off the entire population of Iraq and hung out in their country for about 5 years. Just a thought.

You can ask the same question about OUR own oil itself. Why aren't we producing enough oil from our Own reserves to cover our needs? we have the reserves, why aren't we producing from it what we need instead of importing almost 50% of our needs?

Once we are there, it is now "Our" reserves (or so we think), why should we deplete it so fast. remember as a child, when you let everyone eat their sweets first so you will be the last one enjoying it while the rest just looking and drooling? same thing.

The drop in our imports from there is intentional not accidental.

There is more to our going there than that, but that is part of it.

But nobody brings that up now, we all just forget about the oil thing, or just keep living in ignorance.

No one forgot and we are not ignorant, we just pretend to be. but THEY, in the Middle East, know all about it.

I considered it a 'status quo' of imports, not so much a dropoff.

If we didn't import that oil, other countries would be starving!

I don't know where it is but I WANT it. I think the least the Afghans can do is give us half their oil for about ten years (or however long we get our alternative up and running).

Might want to ask Ca and Fla about that since they have fought hard to STOP drilling off their coasts.

Where is all the oil from America?  Tied up in courts as NIMBY strikes again.
