Icons displayed as Thumbnails

On Vista

After installing IconDeveloper I noticed a couple problems. First of all I noticed an error message whenever I started it up. I also noticed that after I installed it, instead of displaying icons for icon files, it displayed thumbnails like this:

It displays a border around each icon and doesn't show the icons in their full quality. Generally, it looks crappy.

Because I've had so many problems, I uninstalled it. The second problem remained.

Also, if I turn thumbnails off, icons don't show at all, like this:

Can this be fixed?

There was a bug in earlier versions of IconDeveloper that may have caused the 256x256 icons you've created to not display correctly. However this has been addressed in IconDeveloper v2.0.

New User - Purchasee Object Desk Ultimate and installed all applications.  After doing so most all of my icons on the desktop and the quick launch bar changed to either thumbnails or what appears to be blank icons.  I uninstalled all stardock software except IconDeveloper, IconPackager, keyboard Launchpad, Right-Click and Sound Packager.  Rebooted - desktop and quick launch icons stayed as they had changed.  - purchased Object Dock Pro installed.

Today while attempting to change the icons on some of the desktop shortcuts; When I would select to change the icon back to the default the default would update in the properties window, but, not update the icon on the desktop.  Refresh of destkop did not update.  The icons would only refresh on the desktop if I repeated the change icon process twice (properties-change icon-close-open properties- change icon-close).  If I changed the icon to an icon in the application other than the default.  The icon would properly update on the desktop after the first time.

I have not attempted to update the icons for the applications on the quick launch bar due to the number of applications.  I will start moving these from quick launch to object dock pro.

This is just very frustrating since I did not expect this problem from the current 5/8/09 installation of the applications.
