i will try it again maybe this time you guys will like my beginning.
and as i have done on other AARs you can do the newsflashes.
just remember i did them to enhance the story not to destroy it thank you

PREFACE


In the year 2050, a small group of people at the end of world war 3, realized that the
nations of the Earth would never stop fighting.

So they pooled their resources and bought a small group of islands in the south pacific. There were 10 relatively large islands and a couple of dozen or so of small islands.

Secretly they had decided to build a fleet of 100 ships to take them to mars and away from all of the killing. It would take them 10 years to build the ships they needed and the to genetically alter plants to tolerate the high radiation on mars.

Openly they became a religious group, building paradise on Earth. They bought up all the used plastic bottles. Using them to make bottle rafts. Such as the one currently being built in Mexico.

Satellite photos showed these rafts being tied together and slowly building away from each island. Where they touched a dirt road was built connecting the islands together.

As the decade ended, the rumors of them building the space ships was getting so. That the USA and Russia sent in some spies and discovered the fleet of ships being built. They demanded that the fleet be dismantled. But the group refused to do so.

The USA sent in a carrier group to destroy the fleet. Having planned for this fighters were launched to slow down the carrier group as the fleet launched. As the fight went the carrier fighters were able to stop ten of the ships. But they missed the flag ship Julie and the other 90 ships.


Because they had left early, they had to travel through the same region of space that all of the mars probes that had been lost had also traveled through. As they approached the region of space where all of those probes had disappeared. They found a small alien probe. Which was transmitting on a very low bandwidth to low to reach Earth, a vast computer program that took all of the computers in the fleet to acquire.


As the probe stopped transmitting it opened a rip in space. This rip consumed the whole fleet. When they came back into normal space, they discovered that they were in a new solar system billions of light years from home or at least they thought they were that far away.

This system was similar to the sol system. The same number of planets everything was the same. Doing a survey of the earth type planet. They found no intelligent life on the planet. But they did discovery some ancient ruins. They scattered across the planet with the leaders landing near the ruins.

And as planned they dismantled the fleet and used them as the beginnings of the civilization on this new planet, however they decided not to dismantle the flag ship and instead increased its sensors and computers for use when they were ready to explore this system more.


The year is now 2170, and having been on this planet for a century their eyes turn once more to the heavens. Having studied the probe download for a 100 years they have discovered that the program itself was corrupted and they would never be able to understand the language. They did however recover the blueprints for what could only be called a space gate. And as they studied the blue prints they found that they could duplicate the gate but on a much smaller scale and use it as a ships engine. but it would take them time to build and refine the method.


Also that same year, an archaeologist discovered in the ruins a small device about the size and shape of a Rubik cube. As he was fiddling with it, he hit a button on it and a load voice in English cried"you have activated me and i shall increase the planet quality of 5 planets in this system by 30 and also of all the other major race home systems in the galaxy. At this the entire planet started shaking and a week later all of the buildings were destroyed, they found that this planet had a lot more room to live on than before.


The year is now 2220, this new race calling itself the Osterloh Family and having over the last 200 years become that of a hive group, has named their sun Osterloh and their planet Julie and named the other 4 earth type planets in the system Daniel, Boo, Jack, and Dude. They are ready once more to go back into space and colonize the other 4 planets.
