I don't come here just for Muslim discussions. I do have to tolerate people like Rightwinger flitting from blog to blog spreading lies though. It's kind of cute how you call what I posted hatred and not the constant whine of how Muslims are a threat to us. Tarring millions of people because of their religion is probably validated by the insanely small number of attacks by Muslims here in the US.

I don't post here anymore, but I still browse the forums from time to time. You're right though, I should just give up completely. If you can tolerate that kind of hypocrisy without giving answer, enjoy. I'm tired of being characterized as hateful for addressing hateful lies like the V. Tech thing above.

Actually you don't have to tolerate anything. Simply not hanging around places that put you in a bad mood is all you have to do. I really ment to say anger but I guess I didn't realize I had put hatred. I said it cause I have seen the last few replies you have made in several different articles and compared to how you posted before you sound as if you have been betrayed by everyone on this site. Your replies don't sound like you are mad at everyone cause of some kind of stereotyping of Muslims but more like someone did something to you and you are expressing your anger thru these replies. But that's just my opinion. I liked they way you expressed yourself before and while I am not criticizing you opinions I am pointing out the way in which you are saying it. Well I did not come here because everyone on this site was perfect. everyone has their own mind and their own way of expressing themselves. Sure, some may be hypocrits, some may be idiots, there's one so moronic I personaly think he should be banned, but that's just my opinion. Still I don't care, I do my best to prove my point and if they don't like it well tough luck. I don't plan on changing my opinions to avoid hurting peoples feelings here but I will admit to being wrong or I can be educated into changing my views. I have said many times that I am not expert when it comes to politics.

BTW, where did I say for you to give up completely? Why do people take my questions and somehow turn them into some kind of command or insult? I asked a simple question, God forbid if anyone gave a simple answer. Always looking for something that makes you feel attacked, hurt, insulted. Hell I'm sure poeple like that could find insults in something as nice as "How are you today?". I don't know what ticked you off on this site, but just like you like to reply once in a blue moon to a reply that got your attention and somehow bugged you, I decided to do the same on one of your replies in curiosity of what's got you so boiled up. You may not like being "characterized as hateful" but when you start coming across as hating everyone on this site based on your opinion of some people here such as "being bigots, plagiarists, etc", you should not be suprised to be seen that way. That's like Sean criticizing me for misspelling a word while at the same time misspelling a word himself in the same reply.

it's funny tho, and i believe that we should all take note, that sometimes our passions and such make these comments get way too personal too often and early. and everyone has to remember that we all want the same thing...safety and security for our country and probably moreso for our family and those we love around us in our real lives. we all relish in being able to "define someone" cause they said something on a blog. when the fact is that usually these blogs are hardly the measure of the person.

maybe that's why when i have these same conversations with people who actually know me as a living, breathing, 3 dimensional person with all kinds of things going on that have nothing to do with this blog or anything of the sort, i don't get the same reactions and need for others to attack me personally.

since the election, i have a hard time having any kind of decent conversation with anyone from the right on this blog. it's obvious that the wound of the election is deep, and like a cornered tiger, they attack when threatened.

where am i goin with this,,,i haven't a clue,,,it's been one of those days. the only good thing that happened today was that my mechanic informed me that the only problem with the wife's SUV was a loose oil filter, not the crack in the system we feared from the slow leak. so , i got off several hundred dollars cheaper.

but again, i ramble...

i think there is a lot of inappropriate misgivings we get about each other. the comments here today, and on the sex scandal post et al... are evidence of that. hopefully, this post and the comments will serve to do some healing and we can all get back to actually discussing and debating things instead of trying to paint others with broad brushes of insults and the like...at least until the next "blow up" on JU.

as far as the fear mongering rightwinger...oops...there i go again...and i could stand behind the "from my perspective, it's a statement of fact, not a personal insult" shield that we all use...but from your perspective, me calling you a fear mongerer is an insult....so, in order to practice what i preach, what i should say is,...

1st, i apologize for that comment. and 2nd, in regards to your perspective rightwinger, i respectfully disagree. and even if they do try to come here, i am not afraid of any of the bastards and will utilize my 2nd ammendment rights to the hilt to protect my family and national interests. if they pull another 9/11 stunt, i will grieve with my nation, bury the dead and turn to punish those responsible...hopefully, our leaders will get it right next time.

i don't doubt that there will always be enemies willing to go to extremes to defeat theri perceived enemy, that is a given. and as time goes on, the bar for extreme will be raised. but that will never make me fear them or give in to their ridiculous demands.

and one of the great things about America to me is that there are people like you who are ready and willing to show us what we should be worried about. and there are people like me who disagree and have the freedom to express that view. but if anything does actually threaten our shores again, whether your prediction holds true, or it is another threat, i'm sure we will both stand united against that enemy.

as far as baker goes, i'm sorry but i don't share your sentiment. like many on here, he may take things too far, but like a lot on here, i enjoy reading his perspective, regardless of whether i disagree or agree. he is good at challenging others, a trait i admire and try to do myself. in both our cases, sometimes those challenges get taken way out of context. and sometimes we just simply go too hard at some, sometimes on issues that really don't merit a knockdown, drag-out argument. i've tried to get better at that over the years, i.e.- i try to "step away from politics." but sometimes it's like when ya get off a highway where you were doin a pretty high rate of speed and exit onto a road that is only 35mph or less and it's hard to go that slow. ya know what i mean?
