It had long been proposed by science fiction writers that Earth would eventually be peacefully united. But it would not be so.
By 2168, the United States of America had militarily conquered the majority of planet Earth. The planet was renamed New Terra by the insane President Michael J. Bush III (whose great-great-grandfather was none other than George W. Bush). In the 2201, Admiral Joshua Riley lead a military coup and captured control of the entire planet. Soon, Earth's expansion would begin.
On February 15th, 2226, Hestia II (now known as Reagan) is the first extrasolar planet to be colonized. "For great justice," declares colonist James Eddy.
March 8, 2226: Horror!
My god! What sort of intelligent design would cause something this hideous to exist! We must obliterate it so that none of the populace might see it. A simple glimpse of this horrible thing would absolutely destroy morale. Weapons development underway. If all goes well, not one Drath will be alive by this March 8, 2227.
Zig-class fighters will serve as the vangaurd against the Drath. These little buggers will destroy those decadent pigs!
TAKE OFF EVERY ZIG! FOR GREAT JUSTICE!
March 8th, 2227: Dratha, homeworld of the Drath is captured. Two unarmed enemy ships gaurding the world were obliterated by the Zigs. Following that, a propoganda blitz convinced 2 billion Drath to join the Terran "liberation forces". Of course, after the capture of Dratha, all remaining Drath on the planet were summarily executed. 12 billion less hideous creatures now inhabit the universe, all thanks to Admiral Riley. Yay!
