Gods: Lands of Infinity SE

When?!?

Hi,

I've pre-ordered GODS SE some time ago as I really like these old-style RPGs... anyway - Can anyone here at least give me a guess when this is gonna be released on TG? It says tentative june now, used to be may I think... Will this be july in a month and then august?

Anything more precise? If it's june then... first half of june? second?

Regards,
Marcin

Hi Marcin - Unfortunately the developer has not given us a firm date on the game's release yet. It's quite possible that the delays will continue, but we're hopeful that June will be it (I'm afraid I can't be any more specific).

When I get updated info from Cypron Studios, I'll be sure to update the page.

Back to Baldur 2 it is then.

Thanks for the response!

No problem.

Just an update - It looks like Gods SE won't be available until mid-July.

Hi...

So. I guess I needn't enter any text in this post for it to be clear what I want.

But... Any update? 17th July, Strategy First release is supposed to be today. So... What are the chances of Gods:SE appearing on TG like - "this week"?

The odds are very good.    I'm downloading the files now and if everything checks out the game should be released later today or tomorrow.

Okay, unfortunately we're looking at Thursday now. The copy we received had issues, so Cypron is making changes. Hopefully everything will be set for tomorrow morning.

Ah yes. The "ping-pong" phase.
We try to avoid this at our company but it does exist.

It's very frustrating.

What's the latest info? Still Thursday? I really want to get it... been waiting for it for a long time.

Thank you,

Steve

No, we got the one problem fixed but ran into a crash bug on startup.     Cypron is working on the problem and if I get an updated build today I'll launch it, even though we normally don't do so on Fridays.

For everyone's info, the price of the game has been lowered to $19.95 from $24.95, so if you're maintaining your pre-order, that's what you'll be charged.

I somehow can feel that both the sentences are connected in some way.

Gimme gimme...

I don't know why I like this game so much. It reminds me a bit of those old games like Albion and Betrayal at Krondor with it's FPP/tactical board game cross...

Not really, we're just price matching the retail box.

I preordered Gods Land of Infinity Special Edition. Since it is not here yet, can I use my $5 off coupon for taking a Stardock survey towards the price of Gods. Gods is definitely over $8.

I guess it's going to be out next week since everybody probably already went home. :\
Oh well, things happen.

It seems the "less legal community" didn't care about the fact that it's the weekend.

Not fair... Again the guys that buy games have to wait while the pirates can already play it.

Yup, that should be fine.

I'm downloading a new version now. *crosses fingers*

Good news!  The new build is happy and should be live shortly.

Yeah......

I'm pretty sure that startup bug isn't fixed.

So... Any ideas for things to try to run the TGN version?

Win98 executable in XP win98 compatibility mode works fine for some reason...

WinXP exe crashes when it's loading some game assets at the start - pictures etc...

I'm pretty sure my machine is somewhere in the 10*REQ range so that's not it.

So... "Have fun"

Sorry, no idea. It's working okay here.

If you're having trouble, please contact Cypron Studios for support. Maybe they'll have an idea on why it's unhappy.

If you like, you can also send me a couple of files and I'll forward them to the lead developer.

1) Your dxdiag results (Start -> Run -> type "dxdiag" (withouth quotes)). When the progress bar finishes, Save All Information and send the text file.

2) From the command line (Start -> Run -> type "cmd"), start Gods by navigating to the directory (it's in Gods SE\Exe) and typing "Gods-XP.exe g".  This will create a gamelog.htm file with debug info in the main Gods directory.

If you could zip both up, that would be great.

That's why I didn't buy the original and waited for the "upgraded" edition.
