I Refuse to Pile on President Bush

I too still stand by our president. It may not be as proudly but he is our president whether we like him or not I will continue to have respect for his position for the next 1.5yrs.

If it weren't for this great country's freedoms the Main Stream Media would be held for treason (just look at Venezuela). The demo rats seem to have forgotten who the enemy is (note: it's not Bush).

With regards to the war. I agree we didn't come in with a blitzkrieg tactic to come in and dominate or any other aggressive strategy. As you said, hind sight is 20/20 and so many are quick to play monday quarterback but so few want to start at gametime.

To me it really seems that so many have put Bush in the position of an all powerful god.

He was responsible for Katrina and Rita.
He was responsible for birth control failure.
He is responsible for oil prices.
He is responsible for the 9/11 attacks.
He is responsible for global warming.
He is responsible for the economy.
He is responsible for the failed peace in Israel.
and on and on.

But what I find humorous is as they put him in this elected position and have elevated him to an all powerful god that blame him for being incompetent.

I can hardly wait for Bush to be out of Office, then we will see who gets blamed for all things bad next, notice with the economy at its best since the creation of statistics no mention is ever allowed to escape about that.

One would think that Bush makes all the decisions by himself, with no Congress. He just does what he wants without congressional permission, yet it is always Blame Bush, blame Bush, where is the entire Congress responsibility for this mess we are in>?

I am disappointed with him, but then that is not new.  I have been against NCLB and immigration before it suddenly became (again) a hot topic.  I will not say he is a disaster, but I will not say he has been great either.  IN some respects, he has been and continues to be great.  But his willingness to not make waves with a press and opposition that only want blood does not win him votes from his base or me.

If the democrats could field a decent candidate, I would seriously look at voting that way.  However, as bad as Bush has been, the sad fact is that the democrats that are currently in the lead are far worse.

I think both parties are trying to field a decent candidate. How about Fred Doc.?

If you read I said that this Immigration bill was the final nail in the coffin of Bush for me, the bill stinks to high heaven and to question my patriotism because I disagree with the bill is a slap in my face.

I can support him, although he is a little more liberal on the social side for me. Mitt is a good man as well. McCain has shot himself too many times for me to want to support. Of the rest of the field, I like Tancredo the best, but unless they can pull some support from somewhere, I dont see any other candidate surviving past January.

Bush is a disaster.

We've spent over the years tens of thousands of dollars to LEGALLY get visas for high-skilled people to come here. The number of hoops we had to jump through were ridiculous.

And now it turns out that the people who just walked in will get a free pass? That's INSANE.

And on top of that, many of them offer very little it this country other than crime rate. The more statistics research I do on crime rates and social break down of illegal immigrants the madder I get.

Yes, insane to be mild, down right disrespectful if you ask me, and I have always supported Bush. What I will not fall into is the name calling that goes on, dissent has always been An American right, with no fear of reprisal.
To allow 12 million or so LAWbreakers a complete pass is a horrible mistake and is throwing the party into a tumble from which it might not recover in time to stop Hillary or Osoma barark bin Oboma from really tearing the country apart.
