No. I haven't ever liked him - my distaste for him just continues to grow every time he opens his mouth, signs his name, or tries to elucidate what's going on in that vapid excuse for a brain.

So . . . I can't answer your second question, due to my answer to the first.

I can't say I'm not disappointed in the G.W. Bush presidency, but I don't hate on the man.

The Immigration bill is not something I support, at least not without making improvements to border security first, and not without making sure that what we get isn't amnesty for everyone.

On the other hand though, what we really have now if there was a Democrat in charge?  Would things really be any better??

I still like Bush. Mostly because I give him the benefit of the doubt. From what I know of him, he generally makes decisions as I would, though he is perhaps a bit more conservative. I allow that he is privy to much more information--accurate information, which is certainly something none of us have access to--and assume that his choices aren't as backward as they seem at the time.

I wouldn't stake my life on it, but I wouldn't be surprised if ten years later America sees Bush as a pretty decent president. We'll see.

I don't hate him either. I am disappointed in how he has been running the country. This whole immigration thing has become more of a joke than actually doing something for the American people. I do have to say that Bush has been a victim of a wave of mass media that has grown thru out the years. With places like youtube.com and myspace.com, with internet speed getting faster, with cellphones abilities to take pictures and video and stream them across the world in a matter of minutes; so much information at the tip of your fingers now a days that not a single thing has been kept in the dark from anyone looking for this information. Even hanging out at his ranch is now a bad thing according to the media. The internet made it easier for people to see the side of our Gov't, in detail, that most people didn't even know or refused to believe existed. Being able to see those tanks run across the Iraqi desert, watching the soldiers walk across the streets of Baghdad and all of a sudden get ambushed, seeing with our own eyes the happiness of some and the anger of other Iraqi people as it happens. He never really stood a chance. Any and every mistake was exposed as if somehow our President is suppose to be free of mistakes, of error, of imperfections. This just proves how ignorant the average American was and still is today. Completely oblivious to the world around them that it took some idiots on youtube.com with a cellphone camera or a Don Joe with links to a ton of websites or even a guy with a blogg to get people to see what was really happening around them in this country.

Technology was really Bush's downfall, his kryptonite. And he was dumb enough not to see it.

I didn't vote for Bush but I started liking him when he spent Thanksgiving with the troops in Iraq. That's my pro-military side coming out, it made me feel like he really cares about our soldiers. I don't approve of most of his policies except the immigration plan. But as a person I still like him. I think for at least the past year he can't do anything right, or at least people aren't going to approve no matter where he stands on an issue. He has tried to get some things done such as social security reform etc. and that went nowhere. I think this war was a major fiasco with many, many misteps and he won't change course out of stubborness.

NCLB - Immigration just to name a couple that I dont agree with and never have.  But I will not condemn the whole tenure on what I disaprove of.  If I could get a president that went along with me 100%, I know I would be dead and in heaven.  But there are more things I do agree with than I do not.

My disappointment in Bush has been his growing weakness over the past couple of years. He has let the democrats and the media run all over and rarely takes the opportunity to fight back, which they very well could. As far as immigration goes, that bill is a disaster. Unfortunately no President, democrat or republican is going to seriously tackle this issue until someone sneaks a nuke through the border.

I Like the  man on a personal level, but his job performance has been terrible, his caving the last few years has been sad to see and his immigration policy is a slap in the face to legal immigrants [My Mom and Dad}

If he could run again he would NOT get my vote.

I don't think he has made much of a positive impact anywhere. I like that he appointed good supreme court justices and his tax cuts, but that's about it.

Don't like his stance on immigration.
He's too stubborn about the war.
He refuses to veto useless spending, which allows congress (republican or democratic) to spend like drunken sailors.
I wish he'd work on deregulating the schools (vouchers) and supporting domestic alternative energy.

Actually this might have something to do with the reason why the man's starting to grow on me.

What downfall? He was elected to 2 terms. So what if everyone hates him? He got what he wanted.

I still stand behind Bush regarding the war. I do believe he has a better understanding of what we are going up against then our lame congress. Honestly I blame Congress for the condition we are in for the war.

This immigration bill and his seeming to bend towards the global warming crowd seems he is tired of standing up and becoming a lame duck. If this immigration bill gets through it will be a major blemish on his tenure. He should remember Presidential eras are remembered more than Congress'.

I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt on so many decisions but every time he opens his mouth I’m embarrassed to the point that I can hardly listen. Being able to communicate effectively is such a key quality in a leader and he’s definitely the worst ever at it.

I mean I’ve heard speakers fumble words, but they’ll stop and correct themselves. Bush just keeps right on going; he gives the impression that he doesn’t fully understand the words coming out of his own mouth. I seriously think he has to be told later meaning of his bushism’s and that some of the words he used don’t even exist.

I think Carter was right; his presidency will go down in history as the worst ever.

The idea of hating him, is ridiculous. Why waste the effort? (People will be people I guess...)

I admire some of his qualities, however I disagree with him on a variety of his policies/politics. So, do i approve of him? Well, the answer would depend on the specific subject. (i.e. health care, iraq, etc...) Overall, I think he's doing better than congress in some ways.

That proves that there was no hate toward this foolish man in the first place. It was his foolishness and stupidity that was being criticized. and since now the "base" woke up, very late unfortunately, there is no need to gloat. it is just sad that it took 6 years for you guys to realize how foolish this man is.
