My Start ORb icon wont show up when i apply a skin on my computer what do i do?

What type of skin? What start orb icon?
More details are needed for us to be able to help you.

oversized start buttons in wb skins require wb5 or better if I'm not mistaken,
verify that you are using the correct version of windowblinds (v5 or higher).

Also, I have noticed on wb skins using oversized start buttons (vista globe logo for example), that sometimes resizing the taskbar up & down will refresh the start button and make it appear properly.

What would help is if we had link to the skin you're using so that we can verify if it works properl or not, also the version of windowblinds you're using (trialware or full version and which version you're using) and also if you open up windowblinds configuration, click on the view system information link and copy & paste the data into a reply back so that we can verify your wb config info. Here is an example from one of my machines:

hey uncle rob actually its a start orb its the start button and its on black vista 3.0 and i hav a 5.o window blinds

Hey unclerob, the odd time this happens I find that just clicking on the taskbar will correct oversized start button.

but my problem is that the start button wont appear but everythinbg else appears like the taskbar etc...but not the start button..i just found out that this problem is not on uncle robs black vista 3.0 its on every skin i hav

no wonder it doesn't work, you missing most of your files.

You could get a lot more help if you show a screenshot of the problem

actually it's probably not working correctly because not all of the 3 files you were willing to post match the files from 5.1 trial/standalone or released via SDC.

Help...Windowblinds only skins my cat.

I bought a copy of WB from a guy with a patch over one eye that said "arghhhhhhhhh" alot but his parrot said it was a good deal.

Any ideas?

As per Sir Bichur (heavy on the "Sir"   ) I think your problem is related to some missing files, why would you have an incomplete set of wb files? I wonder if this happens when the wb trial expires, it deletes a few of the critical files required for wb skins to appear properly?
