how do i do this?

note to self...gotta allow leeway on reminder... set it around 11:44 for an appt at 12:15 with a reminder :15 til - maybe too close - no pop up (or maybe no popup since I didn't enter anything?

If I use a popup, is there any way to not show:

recurring every 2 weeks (possible?) {payday reminders}

#5 That's odd. In my computer it sets all names and numbers in a correct place. It may be due to broken DesktopX exporter. Can you see what's group and widget name on that Thurs that seems to stay out of proper place?

#8 One I sent to you should hide the data list- one that looks like etc etc. Appointment list shows something like Appointments for today: .... etc Which one did you mean?

#9 Actually it will show any day appointment for date you mouse over. For todays it's okay, but it's nice to find out what appointments are on the next Thursday for example. It's possible to have bi-weekly appointments. Just use two monthly appointments.

#11 Looks like you got a newer version. Mines 3.09c[b].003, the most recent backup that worked. I had few newer ones that was corrupt.

it was in the correct place originally. but i didn't go the the original page and read it first, I just wanted to move the whole thing and thought they were all locked together, grabbed thurs, started dragging... went crap!



the "Appointments for today:"
depending on the appointments, since it has a reminder a toggle on it would be nice, especially since:

since it does the mouse over, having it 'on' all the time might be overkill.

all really seems to be working as it should for me.

i did get a couple of messages about an empty string or something with i changed the font - font still changed, so i ignored them.

That's very odd. In fact, that's not supposed to happen.
Can you see the group setting? Try dragging some other date or date name to see if it happens again?

Hmm yeah, but then how do people get reminded on daily appointment? That type doesn't color the dates and if its reminder is not set, it will never show that appointment at all.

Did it say "Error: Empty file setting"? It just means you didn't set the file setting for appointments to be saved at.

ummm... I had been playing with creating basic objects and usually have them locked....
so I ctrl+dragged thurs out of the group. my bad.

Hmm yeah I can make this an option. I can't do it till I figure out why my DesktopX crashes each time I make an appointment. It didn't do that when I made it in first place. Now it just freezes then crashes when I use appointments.

DX scares me   

Finally. I got sick of problems so I nuked my theme folder, then realized I already tried that, so I also went into DesktopX folder and nuked my object in objects folder. Apparently DesktopX somehow messes it up if I load an object and a copy of same object is already in folder. Must be a bug.

Anyway it now works just fine. I'm working on managing appointment list and will upload as soon as I can. Thanks!

Ahh I see what you mean. It would "drift" down, for example some months has 5 mondays.

If that month had paychecks at week #1, week #3, and week #5, then next month would be week # 2 and week #4 because of that 5th monday.

I tried working it though, and found it to be so complex. As if name monthly was complex enough. Sorry but it looks like that feature is out.
