Overworked Mouse and the Glider

Feed the poor bugger!

I came across this picture and decided to share it with you all, it differs slightly from the usual joke mouse pictures I have seen (or so I thought anyway s)
My mouse has certainly been overworked whilst in confinement, traversing other sites, but it does not look quite like this poor fella!
I still use the old fashioned little mouse, I have tried the roller ball thingymajiggy and the touch pad thingy before but hated them both (probably because they got the better of me!) and so went back to the good old fashioned little mouse - the simplest one possible!

Have any of you tried the Glider? If you have can you tell me what your thoughts are on it please
"Glider Wheel Mouse, central mouse position gives you an optimal working posture and eliminated the painful motion of repeatedly having to reach out for the mouse next to the keyboard.
Glider Mouse is very easy to use, the experienced central mouse user will notice significant improvements in positioning of click buttons, and scroll wheel. The “slider” moves easy effortlessly across the pad with accurate cursor movements. The advanced user can configure the mouse using 12 switches for customized programming of the mouse to suit individual needs. No extra drivers or software is required."
Link I would appreciate your opinion on the product if you have one to give.

Aye, I'd say that mouse looks so over-worked you'd be pushing to get a ravenous cat even slightly interested. As for that new fangled gadget, I have no idea how good one be as I've never seen one before....but it looks like it'd have to be a darned site more comfortable to use than that boney old mouse.

Gave up the mouse years ago. It gave me "tennis elbow". Been using a trackball ever since. I do a lot of CAD and for accuracy and speed it can't be beat. I've managed to convert quite a few people over the years as well. Try a Trackman Marble Wireless for 2 weeks and you'll see what I mean. A little roll of the thumb and I'm there.

It does that, looks way more comfy.

The ball drove me nuts - or should I rather say - I drove myself nuts on the tracker ball I just could not seem to master it same with the pad thing? I always seemed to overshoot everything and really battled to get it on target hahaha bloody hopeless with it! I hope the eblow is much better!

My favorite.

..logitech cordless optical TrackMan.

With these, and a cordless keyboard, I can sit back and work anywhere, even run the mouse/tb on my other hand or thigh or sofa...oops, copped to being a 'couch potato', there.

I wouldn't be me if I weren't....besides, somebody has to bring a bit of insanity into this 'too oft times' miserable world. 'Tis often a thankless job, but someone has to do it....
