YES WE ARE WINNING IN IRAQ!

YES WE ARE WINNING IN IRAQ!

BAGHDAD - Outgoing British Prime Minister Tony Blair, whose premiership has been dominated by his unpopular decision to join the Iraq war, arrived here on a farewell visit Saturday, and three mortar shells or rockets slammed into the compound where he met with Iraq's leaders.

BAGHDAD - The American military widened the search for three missing U.S. soldiers, detaining nine people in a raid Saturday about 25 miles northwest of where the Americans were captured last weekend.

The U.S. command said Saturday five more American soldiers were killed. One died Saturday from a roadside bomb south of Baghdad. Four died Friday - one in the western province of Anbar, one by small arms fire south of the capital and two by a roadside bomb and small arms fire in northwestern Baghdad, the military said.

“You know more than anyone else on the planet what I post are facts that appear on a variety of sources.”

YOUR problem is that when any facts appear to reflect poorly on Bush and the policy we are following you want to make believe it is not valid or do not exist. It is clear that many who support Bush act like him and live in a state of DENIAL. For the dead and Injured in this war they have faced the intimate reality. Bush and those misguided supporters will not change this reality. When people on this Blog Site refuse to accept the truth and attack me they show their true colors. They are too stupid to realize they are NOT attacking me but the many sources that bring these facts to the public knowledge.

In August when it is clear this Surge (the latest in four similar surges) is shown to not have ended the violence in Iraq, there will be some other excuse. One thing that Bush and his supporters can not claim is that the ENTIRE Iraq War Policy was BUSH Not Clinton, Not the Democrats or the BOGGIE MAN. Just BUSH!

I hear more and more about how GWB is concerned about his Legacy. No need to worry, the George W. Bush Legacy is already written in STONE and it is a DAMMING legacy to be sure!

"you know more than anyone else on the planet"

I do read books, magazines, watch TV news, including Fox, and use the Internet to learn what is taking place. There are many with more knowledge then I have but I do seek out information about how the major issues facing our country are being handled. I use Google and other search engines to obtain more in-depth information and I have contacted various federal agencies for specific information. The research for my last book is about equal to a Case of paper and information from over a dozen books. I also receive information from the Army and from the Army War College Alumni Association. So just keep making yourself look stupid by panning the information I include in my Blogs which come from the MOST reliable sources available!

this is the samething that hitler and saddam and all the other dictators say. if you attack me then you are attacking the country becouse i am only doing what is best for the country.

i don't recall anyone saying it was supposed to end the violence just less of it
which is what is happening where the surge is supposed to be working right now.

yes more people are getting hurt but that is becouse the more weapons are getting through to them

Clinton,

is the couse of 9/11 not bush. and you know that to do something like 9/11 takes years to plan not months. of course if you were in supply as i suspect then you wouldn't know.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/spl/hi/in_depth/baghdad_navigator/

go here they have a chart that shows the number of deaths to be about the same as in 2003. civilian deaths

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6451841.stm

and here are some iraq polls stating that things are better now than when saddam was in charge.

of course the bbc says it is getting worse but the numbers on the chart tell a different story

I don't care "what" you read. That STILL doen't mean that "you" know more than the rest of the world. And btw....it's already been proven that you like to cherry pick you facts. To prove the point just let everyone go read some of graywar's stuff.

all liberal sources designed to make bush look bad

To you any source that reports ANYTHING that you deem is not flattering toward Bush and his policies is LIBERAL. That is BS. You are the one saying something is Bush Bashing. If the information is correct it is YOUR estimate that the information does not reflect well on Bush not that the story is incorrect. I sighted Powell, Baker, Armitage and the CIA about the warnings they gave Bush BEFORE he invaded Iraq that it could result in getting us bogged down in a Civil War. Which one of those sources or individuals is a LIBERAL for example?

I never said the rest of the world. I sight the sources which represent the most knowledgeable sources and experts available. What for example I print the annual budget deficit or the total national Debt from the U.S. Treasury that is cherry picking when we are looking at weather we are operating in the red! I went to the MOST accurate source which showed the direction we are going in under the current fiscal policy. It shows we are digging a deeper and deeper hole for our children. Does that mean I cherry picked the Treasury as the source? HELL NO! When I sight studies by the GAO that confirm our fiscal policy is placing our financial future in jeopardy that is cherry picking? HELL NO. You just do not like what the facts are about the direction Bush and the GOP have taken our country!

Better look at Professor Record articles which I sight in my book that says, " the Bush policy fails to understand a difference nature of terrorism from groups like al-Qaeda and rogue states such as Iraq, Iraq and North Korea."

Let’s look at HOW Bush supports our troops:

He sent the\m to war against a country the was NO danger to America.

He failed to send enough troops that allowed the Civil war that has developed to continue.

He has destabilized the region.

He has overcommitted our troops and has sent them back 2 and 3 times in the past 5 years.

He has destroyed the equipment for the ground forces and over committed the National Guard and Reserve.

He has not requested the money needed by the VA to deal with the injured from the war he started in Iraq.

"you are using figures from 2003 to tell people how things are going now "

NO this has NOTHING to do with numbers. It has to do with the concept of understanding the danger to this country from the Radical Islamic movement and the fact that Bush DOES NOT GET IT!

What war are we to support? The Civil war that resulted when we removed Saddam and allowed the factions within Iraq to organize, arm and begin fighting to gain power? Which side should we support-- The Kurds, Sunni or the Shea? The fighting by the foreign elements (al Qaeda) that we allowed to enter the country after we removed Saddam and who are making the civil conflict worse?

Bush NEVER said we entered Iraq to get into the middle of a Civil war. If Bush had said that, Congress would NEVER have approved the invasion of Iraq. We removed Saddam and should have departed Iraq at the end of 2003! We can NOT win this Civil War and even with 160,000 troops have not been able to stop al Qaeda from operating in western Iraq.

Car Bombing in Baghdad Market Kills 25
By RAVI NESSMAN (Associated Press Writer)
From Associated Press
May 22, 2007 6:25 AM EDT
BAGHDAD - A parked car bomb ripped through a crowded outdoor market in southwestern Baghdad on Tuesday, killing 25 people despite a 3-month-old security crackdown meant to reduce violence in the capital.

At least 60 people were wounded in the 10 a.m. blast in the Shiite-dominated neighborhood of Amil. Nearby buildings were badly damaged and set ablaze, while others were reduced to rubble. Residents ran through the streets with buckets and pots of water, while others frantically tore through the rubble, looking for survivors. Groups of men carried bodies wrapped in tarps out of the damaged buildings.

saddam was also practicing genocide

I lament the deaths not celebrate. The policy we are following has NO chance of ending the violence that has been growing for over 4 YEASRS! That is a policy that continues the deaths and injuries. If the Iraqi people want to allow the killing to continue that is up to them. We must remove out troops from this Civil War and allow the people of Iraq to decide what they want to do with their country.

you mean that you are so stupid that you don't know that the sudan isn't a threat to the usa

joe biden wants to go in and step genocide

saddam was also practicing genocide

If that is the rational, I would NOT support sending U.S. Forces into Sudan. Just what does that have to do with finding a SOLUTION in Iraq?
joe biden is as outspoken against the removal of saddam as you are

and your right we can't end the violence only the iraqi people can do that.

and taking their weapons away wouldn't have stopped the violence either
