Ubisoft has released additional information on the latest entry into the Settlers franchise including the full title, The Settlers – Rise of an Empire. The sixth entry will be developed by the series creator, German-based Blue Byte and is currently on track for a September release.
Once again players will be tasked with creating a burgeoning society set in medieval times through economics, namely resources, goods, trading and protection. For the first time in the series players will be able to direct women, even watching the menfolk court them for possible marriage and of course putting them to work. Blue Byte has also confirmed that the title will sport top of the line visuals and AI with each settler being distinguishable from the other not only by looks but actions as well.
