I was just thinking about this subject the other day and was going to post a forum about it, to find out if you could put something on your personal page that didn't get posted by the mod's. Here's one that the bootskin made it but not the logon or wall. I think its kinda cool if you like the dark side a little. WWW Link Thanks, now I'll go get my award

You can upload work and check the box to have it go directly to your personal page.

The image on the wallpaper...I kind of see a head...it reminds me of the beast in forbidden planet.

I like Halo the best of the 2, Alperium. What software are you using? I'm looking for some pointers or tutorilas for Bryce. I've had the free version for a while, but have yet to get anywhere with it. lol.

Welcome to the club!

Thank you Po' for nice feedback.I'll try to correct "halo" effect.
It's not Bryce. I used PS CS2: Flaming Pear and Andromeda.
Basically, my tutorials for Bryce in russian language, but if I'll find in english I'll inform you.

Andromeda.

Is that a good plugin?

I don't know that you need to 'fix' the Halo effect. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe someone else has a thought on it.

I think "Halo effect" is not realistic.
Andromeda is very interesting plugin

noriam Looked at your wall. Not into abstract but after looking at it for awhile I find I like it. Reminds me of an alien face from a movie. Can't quite place which one though.. I think your wall is one that a person has to look at for a few minutes to see what is there. a quick glance is not enough to see what is there.
Tried to download your wall but got this

Alperium I'm with Po I like the halo the best. IMHO. The halo doesn't look right because it is in front of the planet and you have a large shadow over the planet, where is the light source for the halo? sorry but to me it just looks out of place...

But then again I am not an expert on light sources for planet halos...

Welcome to the club noriam and Alperium...

because it is in front of the planet

Yeah, it seems to be in places where you shouldn't see it. But to be honest, I didn't pay attention to that stuff on my last trip in the space shuttle.

I (IMVERYHO) would soften or desaturate the orange a bit and play with the blur effects more.

I just did this real quick in PS to show what I mean.

Some lens falres might work nice, but I couldn't get em on here without washing out the sun.

I have a turtle to feed. And he drinks and eats his weight in Jack Daniels and Resses Peanut Butter cups.

I think it's a bit busy, my friend. I would do something simpler with the background, or the object. IMVHO

Okay. Before I go any further....ANYONE can tell me to shut-up at anytime and I won't get offended. Lord knows, I've had my share of walls rejected.lol. But I encourage everyone to offer opinions/idea's and such.

Alperium...IMHO...I would make the reflection on the ice a little more transparent and bring the saturation down a tad...then...try doing the same with the ice on the wall and blur it a bit. The black outline of the ice on the wall looks too dark. Your light/shadow angles look good. Maybe tone down the blue in the sky a bit.

I don't know exactly what your going for, but I might submerse those castles a bit instead of floating them above the water/ice.

Now, I'm gonna go take cover.

One must learn how to ration one's turtle...

Busy? man, that wall goes in more directions than a ferret on crystal meth!

Thanks Po'.I shall consider your remarks in the further.

Thanks Murex and Po' Smedley, just wanted to say that my sister wanted me to make that for her, she likes to make icons and I've been trying to get her into this place so she can see everybodies work and get addicted too and hopefully put some of her work here too.
