using skin studio to change things

from WinCustomize Forums
on some of the skins i download for windowblinds i use skinstudio to change some of the colours, when i load them into skinstudio some of them pop up boxes telling me they are copyrighted, do i need the creators permission to change the colours or am i within my rights to change them as i see fit, mostly i change the background colours. i dont want to breach copyright so i thought i better ask before i get into trouble

yeah, i see no problems with that either....specially if your just changing colours to suit your own personal use.
