Silly Question about metaverse empires

So i finally started uploading my battle results to the metaverse after a long absense of playing (got sucked into Battlefield) and i was curious about the empires displayed on the map. My account says i don't belong to an empire. How does one become so? Do i simply win enough games to qualify or is there something obvious i'm missing?
Thanks in advance...

Alot of the empires are recruiting. Just check these threads and the fan sites in the metaverse section. As of yet, i myself am also unaffiliated, need to get a few more games under my belt.

MrJakJak, the obvious thing you are missing (no offense meant) is that you can join an Empire at any time, simply by clicking on their page in the Metaverse listing, and then clicking the Join button. It's that simple.

I'm a member of the B.C. Space Orcas, and we would be glad to have new members ... but I have to say that a lot, perhaps most of our members don't seem to be active anymore, so our Empire is unlikely to make it back to the number one spot. (I should talk. I rarely check the stats anymore anyway.)

If you're looking for an empire to join, consider The Hitchhikers of the Galaxy. We are a rapidly growing and highly active empire that welcomes all players, irrespective of ability.
