Question about pre-order for Sins of a Solar Empire

What do they mean by "pre-orders are charged when beta mile-stones are released." are we charged extra cash for ordering the pre-order? or is it a typo? because if it is a typo it is keeping me from pre-ordering this game. I really don't want to pay to play an unfinnished game that has bugs in it. Can some one clear this up for me?

If I understand you right, your question is "Will I have to pay for the retail version on top of the pre order?" If thats so, then no.

You can pre order, be charged for it, and never play the beta if you want, but I would just hold off on preordering it until it comes out in that case.
