Forum Chaos

I dont know about anyone else but I find this beta feedback in a bit of chaos. If you have the time sure you can read through all the posts but if you want to gauge any sort of majority opinion, good luck.

Surely out of this beta IC will want some kind of list of priorities regarding change or atleast discussion for change.

I think you need to setup some subforums for organisation, and you need to enable polls from questions set by IC, and stickies on specific topics.

e.g. What did everyone think of the Tutorial?
We've all played through it, probably the first experience of the game.

well, there is alot of posts, i can agree on that But i dont feel like its all chaos.

Theres about 8 stickys in the general forum, And you can click the "More Recent Posts" and you will see alot more threads. Or just use the search botten

The tutorial? well hehe it needs some improvement. Some stuff that are not in there.
One if the Fraser brothers said they are looking into it

I also would not say it is total chaos but the thread naming can be a little inconsistant. You could always use the Beta format I have used with other games.

Tester: Chip

Version v0.61.009

Problem Description:

Problem Type: [XX] XXXX (XX = type such as AI, graphics, audio and the XXXX = detail such as freezing, reboots, etc. and then use this line as the thread header.)

Suggested Resolution:

I know I am bad sometimes by not posting like above in a couple of threads. This is just an idea anyway.

Indeed. The hope was that the stickies would get most of the feedback, but as that has turned out to not be the case, I'll be rounding up posts each day for IC to see in one place so they can spend more time working on the game.

its absolutely a great idea with the "Daily Feedback Roundup" thread

now everyone can see if there problem have been noticed, and might even help with the double posts as well

If you expected the feedback in the stickies why create the Beta Feedback forum and have the stickies in the general forum?

Stickies always have the opposite effect, lol...

I agree the forum layout does need to be re-worked a bit (like removing the recent activity area). Perhaps more moderators would help too. My main problem other than what was mentioned above is the forum takes forever to load up after i login, or post, and sometimes it times out (it causes duplicate posts sometimes). While i can surf anywhere else with no problems.

The loading times are because the SD forums are all interconnected and sometimes the bandwidth is tasked with too many things so it takes longer to load.

Its not that the forum needs that many changes, its the fact that people are too lazy to look to see if their topic is already under discussion. Thats why I like the Relic forums more, if you make a thread that is already under discussion that thread is locked and then you are directed to the thread already in progress.
