Neil..

When, if at all do you think we can look forward to animated titlebar buttons, (with sounds) and  skinned menubars \ buttons for per pixel frames?

thx in advance.

John, I think, we are the only one who cares if the menubar and the MDI buttons get skinned properly on perpixel frame eh?

That very much depends on the OS.

MDI buttons and menubars are already skinned with per pixel skins on Vista.

If there are other features you are interested in seeing in WB6, please feel free to add them as a reply to this post.

I'd like to see the MDI buttons skinned in per pixel on XP.

Im sorry, I should have said in XP per pixel windows?

Having them skinned in Vista is great for those who use Vista. I mean, have you guys stopped developing for XP? Seeing that a HUGE majority of users are still on XP and will be for a while it only stands to reason that we should skin for them.

Well, I am too..when i can hold my aggravation long enough to stay on Vista for more than 10 minutes.. but a few million others are stuck on XP.

Yeah same here, I'm not "stuck" on XP, I have no problems with XP. Sure Vista seems nice, though I've had no chance to actually play with it. But it will be a good while before I'll be able to make the switch.

It does at times seem as though Stardock is mostly concentrating on Vista content and leaving XP users to "make-do" with what they have. It does makes sense in a way I guess, being the new "IN" thing but it leaves a lot to be desired when (I would wager) the bulk of ODNT customers are still using XP.

I'm still using XP and will be for the foreseeable future. Some of us do actually "choose" to still use it.

Might be more people choosing to use it than are stuck on it..at least around here, makes no sense to me to skin for a far smaller majority of customers when we could be skinning for all of them equally.

Maybe Neil can shed some more light on what XP vs. Vista skinners \ users can look forward to.

There are some features which WB on XP will not get but WB on Vista will.  This is due to the differences in the OSes.

XP is still a priority though as the number of people using Vista is quite small currently.  I use XP on my main dev machine rather than Vista as I do not feel Vista is good enough yet.

Getting animated titlebar buttons to work in non-perpixel titlebars on XP would be great (unless someone can explain how to make it work currently - using the Skinning Guide from SKS, I can't make them work properly, but that could be me ).

Also getting MDI button states to actually work in XP would also be great. The button states for Logoff & Shutdown dialogs don't always default correctly, either - quite often the mouseover state will display instead of the normal state for one or more of the buttons.

Thanks!
