Graphical Effects Not Working

Anything that can be enabled in the "effects" menu (Planet elevators, asteroids, etc.) seems to only be visible when I center my view on a unit. The moment I move the camera away, the effects leave. Anyone else having this problem?

All I have to do is click on the center view button and the effects appear. Then I move the camera and it's as if I turned off all the graphical effects. I can take some screenshots later, but I doubt they'll add to the explanation.

perhaps use FRAPs to capture the video, encode it and upload it to show us?

this will require the use of other software like probably ulead's video editor which is available for free trial and pretty good for most purposes. i think you PC should be able to handle the capture at a lower resolution setting.

for free fraps can record 30sec
windows movie maker is also free
then upload it at youtube (soon soase.com)

there are other programs that are free, and more complicated. But those 2 are the best if your not going to do alot of recording.

We've found the problem and its been fixed locally. Thanks for the help guys
