Mommy for the Weekend

This weekend has been busy!

My mom left for the weekend for a bowling tournament three hours away from here. So that leaves myself, my two younger brothers, and my dad here. My dad is always busy and hardly home to watch after us, so that leaves me in charge for the weekend.

Friday went great! I got to go to a baseball game as well as a track meet at the school and hang out with all of my marvolous friends. Yesterday was okay. My brothers and I went to my grandmas house and watched movies, then we came home. About 7:30 last night, I was out in the kitchen making a milk formula to go feed my baby goats, when Jacob [the youngest of my brothers, he's 10], comes to the entrance of the kitchen from the living room and starts vomiting all over the floor! So I said, "Jacob, go to the bathroom!" He stands there, looks at me and vomits again!! "Jacob please go to the bathroom!!" And so he finally does and he ends up getting sick all over the bathroom floor before he gets to the toilet.

Wow....it was horrible!! The house smelled of vomit....and I had to clean it all up!! It took ages, or at least that's what it seemed, to clean all of it up and make sure i didn't miss any of it. The bathroom was the worst part because he had gotten it all over the wall!!

This has got to be why I don't plan on having kids until I'm done with college! If I had to deal with this stuff everyday while in college, etc...my life would be a living hell! Jeez...I can barely take care of my brothers for a weekend because of all the things I'm busy with now!!

Motherhood......a long ways away........

Ouch! I hope your brother is OK now. Was it something he ate? I've been there so many times, recently, just last weekend too and it's no fun cleaning up vomit! The stank is so hard to get rid of, I literrally had a rag sopping wet with soap and water (warm water) to just wet and clean up the area like what seemed like a thousand times! You have a good plan, College before Motherhood, it's so much easier!

Yea, he is doing much better now. He hasn't got sick since around 8 this morning. Yet, he still hasn't eaten anything, which I don't blame him. At first I thought he was vomiting because he had just ate a whole bunch of pizza and drank orange soda and then decided to go out and jump on the trampoline. But he kept getting sick throughout the night and into this morning. He still has a fever right now, so he probably has a bug or something. The stank is gone now, I think. I don't know how many times I washed the floor and moped it. Yes, so I've heard that the whole college before motherhood is great!

Given on how high his fever is and if he stopped vomitting or not, he should see the doctor asap. As long as he doesn't have a headache to go with it too, that would be a worry! I believe there was a virus going around recently a few people were sick around my area too. And hey, I think you will make a great mom when that time comes!

Aww...well thanks for that nice comment! Yeah...he is fine now he went to school today and yesterday and no fever!
