Problems with Pirates?

As time goes on it appears as if Pirates lose their bounty and only net xp. Is this a bug or is it meant to be this way? Or is their more in store for Pirates down the road?

And are the ships in the game now, the only ones the TEC will have in the final version? Or are their more?

don't know about the first one but devs have said not all tec stuff is in including not all ships and not all pirate stuff is in.

wait.... so the TEC is missing a few ships? I thought we had all their ships in the Beta! I am sorta glad as the TEC needs 1-2 more battle worthy frigates...

kodiak is good, but we need a medium combat ship... just using scouts for so long becomes boring.

I have and its ok... It sure as heck shouldn't be a top tier tech research item... I wish it looked different and had some beam weapons...

Why is there only 1 tech ship (the KOL class) with beam weapons?

The Kol class only has beam weapons, however all the other capital ships have laser cannons. If their are a few more ships to be revealed for the TEC, their could be more with beam based weapons. However story wise the TEC were traders not warriors. The Kol Battleship is their only true warship.
