Retreating: switch power from other systems

I've had this issue when retreating: my ships are getting blown up because they aren't fast enough. So here is my proposal: you should be able to switch power from one system to another; like drain weapons power to the engines so they can get to the edge of the gravity well faster. There you go!

By the way: sorry, but this beta in ununfun.

I dunno about switching power, but I would like an option for a emergency retreat... At least for the uber slow capital ships...

I would just like to see an EZ-Retreat button. It's really a pain in the butt zooming in and out constantly to select systems if i'm trying to do staggered retreats.

I played my first game and it was 2 hours. Hey, how come when you win you can still play the game? They should change that.

It's sandbox mode. It will probably be changed, but they made it that way to give you the option to explore the game

EZ-Retreat button.

Agreed

Somthing similar to Company of Heroes.. select my battlegroup click retreat and they go to the nearest friendly colony. Or if it is your colony the button should send them to the nearest repair yard, that would be very handy.

As far as retreat speed, your currently supposed to retreat slowly since you are moving against the gravity field.

I disagree. There are already people complaining that the game is easy and boring in some stages. The difficulty of getting your ships out of harm's way is good; otherwise it would be too easy. Would you like the AI to be able to 'push a button' and remove the ships from battle that you have almost killed?

Personally i think the problem plagues most games too - maintaining busy mouse-clicking doesn't necessarily translate into "fun". Iron Clad probably should/would borrow the idea from Dark Avatar with some random events to make the game more interesting at the later stage.

As it is now, you have to make a choice early on in a fight. Stay or run. Becouse when you first get into it, its hard to run away without taking heavy hits.
And that is a good thing imo.
