So far I havent finished a game It's mostly because I am playign all these turn games on the net and I can't alt tab out of sins anytiem a new turn comes on so I have to reboot.

The default number of AI per map is automatically set. The best experience for Sins was intended to be with at least 3 other AI players (for small) and 9 (for large). The reason is they wheel-and-deal against each other as well and you get interesting relationships. Its not like a lot of RTS's where the 3 other AI all go against you. If you do want that, you can set the AI's to the same team.

Wheeling and dealing is the way to go..

There is a word for players (and AI) that don't talk to their neighbors.. "Target".

yeah, i mis-worded that... what i mean was, i was wondering if winning a 2vs1 on hard was possible. 1vs1 on hard is tuff for me.

Pff i have yet to defeat it at medium, got crushed in like 20 min. by getting owned by 1 sending wave after wave of scout frigs

okay, i got a question... is the difficulty of the computer AI adjusted according to the players skill level. cause i beat it on (small galaxy, 1 enemy, hard AI) and looking at the stats, it looks like the computer tries to stay 1 step ahead of me no matter what i do.

I've found its uber lame when the enemy on hard decides to make an alliance with you, then move its fleet to one of your planets saying it just training exercises, and then break the alliance and attack your planet, 2 out of 3 times its been my main planet too! This cheap tactic allowed them to get past 2 defended choke points with inhibitor fields set up...

Sounds similar to Sword of the Stars.

haha, even the AI on normal is great. Look at the gameplay video i made.
First he send in a scout to my homeworld, not long after, he returned with full force
He got my starting cap ship, and when i was about to win, he retreated. Haha now thats clever for an AI player

I remember yesterday, I invaded another solar system, and took out a large normal AI's shipyard and research colony (6 shipyards, 1 cap, 4 research among other things), and not long after I destroyed it, a huge enemy fleet dropped out right there and launched a counter attack (they were the same size as my fleet). If not for the fact that my fleets travel in pairs - only splitting off to cover 2 systems, I'd have lost. When my second fleet arrive, the AI immediately turned tail and ran!

yeah man, the AI is evil. i don't know what im doing wrong but i can't beat the AI on hard now. it makes me wonder if it reacts to my skill level cause i beat it on hard the first day when i sucked ass. and now that ive gotten better it seems like i can't beat it to save my life. someone ease my feeble mind and tell me the AI on hard adjusts to the players skill level.
