Forced Research

Being forced to do research (maybe not wanted)

Noticed that there are some research levels that you have to pick up sometimes 4 extra research 2 equal and 2 lower to unlock the next level of tech. The one off (unlock) techs need to be balanced so that you can take one and not have to follow an extra tree to get to the next tech.

But i doubt its finished yet.

yeah, i think they should also add a indication that you can search many time the same research and how many time you still game without having to put you mouse over it. That would allow us to make quick decision instead of checking them one by one

I agree, maybe make the icon with little empty circles embedded, and as you increase in level the circles fill in.

Well there are dots signifying ships on planets in the empire screen, why not how ever many dots per reserch possability next to each one, that changes colour during and after research?

But I actualy ment the tree itself needs a little polish, e.g. the first tier on the combat tree has the 1 point frig unlock, but no other 1 point skills on that tier. Means half jobbing something else to unlock the next tier.

the research tree is incomplete i think, on another thread they said the extended jump range(not the long range one that lets you jump to other stars) is a hold over tech that is useless now i think.on the combat side there is a row on top that has those green squares but no techs on that level so i think the are meaning to put something there.

Maybe a big green check mark on topics that have been researched to the max level. That way it is easier to distinguish between what you already have researched, what you can research, and what you can't research (due to lack of resources or haven't reached that tier yet).

That seems cheesy...
