Amazing!

Barring the one bug with the intro movie, I was able to play an entire single player game until completion, on the largest galaxy size no less. Playing a game to completion in a retail game without running into a bug is unheard of but in beta 1, WOW!

My system specs (runs SOASE perfectly):
Windows xp proffesional
Intel Pentium D 3.2 GHz
2 gigs of ram
2 Nvidia 7800Gtx cards in sli
SB X-fi Audio

Anyway, good job guys on a remarkable beta release and I am looking forward to the next release.

Yeah I too had a great first game with no issues, apart from the fact that I sucked and got totally creamed. I shall be starting my second game soon now that I at least know what im doing (sort of).

Really, my only beef with the game are things that they want to hear in betas 2 and 3, so right now this beta is flawless.

The intro movie will only be in the final version of the game. It won't be released during the beta.

Hey once this game is released (when is it getting released anyway???), will there be a medal system similar to GALCIV II / DA that will display on the forums as you post??
