Well.. I get the honor of submitting the first bug

I downloaded Sins (fast download here too), and ran it. I got the Stardock logo and the Ironclad logo followed by a black screen with the Sins of a Solar Empire logo in it. So far so good.. then the logo fades away and the display resolution changes to now show my desktop with the sins window open in the top left, completely black. Meanwhile music is playing but nothing more happens in the sins window. I waited about 2 minutes and then exited. This happened both times I've tried now.

The work around for this is to disable the opening movies. Goto C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting and open the file user.setting with notepad. Look for the word "ShowIntroMovies" and turn the following "TRUE" into a "FALSE". Save the file and reload Sins.

Thanks! That work-around worked like a charm.. After that I had no problems with the game. In fact, I was extremely impressed with how polished it is, especially this early in the beta cycle. If only other companies would release finished products with this much polish.
