What's your guilty pleasure TV show?

What's your guilty pleasure TV show?

or; inspired by SHE's GA questions . . .

I sat reading SHE's article once again this morning, (you can read it here) and I thought of another question that would be a good one. I was going to write it on her article, but then I thought, "I'd like to see what people say about it."

So my question is this . . . what's your "guilty pleasure" TV show?

I know you've got to have one. Some soap opera like "Passions"? Some reality show like "Top Model"? Some silly crime show like "CSI" or one of its myriad clones?

Fess up, it'll be fun. ;)

My guily TV pleasure... "One word, two syllables"... The Office

While I absolutely love the American version, and I think that Steve Carrell is a genius, I must admit that I prefer the British version more. Ricky Gervais is more of a genius.

Hmm, I guess my guilty pleasure is probably stoopid shows like Viva La Bam or Jackass. I also like watching Jamie Oliver even though I'm not much of a cook. He just makes everything look so easy to do.

BTW...anyone having trouble logging in to JU? I could only get in through the Forums and can't go anywhere else?!

Yup. JU is on the fritz again. I finally got through using the forums.

Wow. Some of shows JU is calling "guilty" are regular, non-guilty fare for me.

I'll fess up. Mine is the reality show Big Brother on CBS. I watch it every summer.

It's a stupid show about people hanging around in a house, backstabbing each other, gossiping, messing around, and in between these happenings, holding competitions in their "backyard." They scheme and kick each other out of the house until one is left...and this person wins half a million bucks.

It's Low IQ television...but I get so into it, trashiness and all.

Now here's hoping you don't think any less of me.

Shows I watch that I'm *not* embarrassed about:

The Simpsons
Family Guy
American Dad
American Idol
CSI
ER
SNL

Shows I watch that I'm *slightly* embarrassed about:
Wife Swap
Super Nanny

Medical Incredible, Moment of Impact, Mystery Diagnosis, etc. What's bad about these is that I DVR tons of them. It's not just medical programs, either. I once watched an hour long program about snow storms in Chicago. I have a show titled "Genius Sperm Bank" in my saved programs. *sigh*

What I'm REALLY embarrassed about is the fact that I've begun frequently "accidentally" catching Oprah on and then watching the show all the way through. I always get caught, too, because I'll invariably begin discussing the show's topic with someone and end up slipping and saying where I saw it!

No one who knows me in real life knows that I used to watch the OC religiously.

Heh, I forgot to add House, which I not ashamed to watch!

(cacto...that's pretty bad. LOL.)

Well it is a guilty pleasure. So long as no one finds out I'll be fine. My deep and enduring love for Summer (and Mischa's hot mum of course) will remain a secret.

Heh, I forgot to add House,

House to me is alot like the Who want's to be a Millionare? game show or Dateline NBC's To Catch a Pervert or whatever it's called. Every episode is the SAME EXACT THING over and over and over again with the only difference being the faces. Of course I still watch all these shows which is why I feel, er um....guilty about it!

I've noticed that, Shovel, but it doesn't make it any less awesome. Haha.

SAME EXACT THING over and over and over

...yeah, I like House, but the only suspense is in which order the patient will hallucinate, have an epileptic fit, vomit blood and hyperventilate ...    ...agree Tex

I LOVE America's Next Top Model. I've watched every season like 5 times. I love the vh1 marathons. I also watch Flavor of Love and I Love New York lol. I guess you could call Laguna Beach and The Hills two other shows. But I don't watch anything regularly, just when it's on. I hardly ever watch TV, I'm way too busy.
