Books are GOOD for You...

Books are GOOD for You...

Reading isn't overrated...

I know a lot of people today who hate books...mainly because they can't pronounce big words and they don't have an attention span longer then 5 seconds. There are several reasons to read a book...reports, recreation, research....What!?!? RECREATION!...yes recreation...You never see many people reading books nowadays, I don't really no why. I know most of the people on JoeUser probably don't have this little defect because most of them read and/or write articles...but by chance there may be some people scrolling by and may find this site while looking for porn or something....lol

I'm just trying to enlighten people to read books. They do so much for your mind...like increase you imagination, vocabulary, IQ, and understanding of the written word. I find it sad today when you see high schoolers and up that can't even pronounce the name of a gas station or store product...but when you have people read in class it takes FOREVER on some of the easiest words! I mean you don't have to be a bookworm but try to get a novel in sometime during the year...you'll find its fun and actually enjoyable if you pick the right topic....

One of the things that bug me though is how people who read are often made fun of or questioned on why they're reading...That question is incredibly stupid! Since when has reading become such a rare event that it HAS to be questioned??? But anyway...if you're a person who hates reading...probably because you can't...get some lessons and learn better...you'll find it's a great form of entertainment and can pass time in study hall, DMV(or is it BMV), meetings, assemblys, weddings, funerals, etc. (Well the last 4 if you aren't really doing anything and aren't emotionally disturbed...lol)

Well that's about all for now,(Bye the way visit deedee18266.joeuser.com, another friend's site I am currently pimping...lol)

There's a little thing called dyslexia.

I'm sorry, but I really don't think the entire (nearly) male student body of Amanda-Clearcreek High has dyslexia. Zoo's got a point... half of the 2009 class takes 5 minutes to read a 5 sentence paragraph out loud.

I must be weird then....I LOVE books and I always have. I learned to read when I was about 4 (that's when I was put into kindergarten) and by the end of first grade I'd read all the little house on the prairie books. I LOVE Shakespeare, I took a whole class on hom in high school. Twelfth night is amazing, and I was one of the obnoxious kids in the class who actually understood what was going on in the story. I have books all over my house, and I'm currently reading three books at the same time (I pick one depending on my mood). I just have never had a problem reading and understanding stuff. The strange thing is that I can't spell at ALL...I think it must run in the family, my dad and sister are the same way.
