The year is 2050. On the ship Rocky is a team of ten people.


Deep in the astroid belt is the nasa ship the Rocky. This ship and her crew was sent to investagatea an anomily that had been found 5 years before by an unmanned probe. Becouse of the nature of this mission, the mission is top secret. Even the crew didn't know the what the real mission was until 6 months earlier. When they were told to change course from Mars for the astroid belt.

The Rocky had been under construction when the anomily was found. It employs the latest technoligies. It uses an ion pulse engine(which is basically a ram scoop type engine), an artificial radiation shield(which uses the solar radiation that gets stuck in the field to help power the shield), and it rotates for gravity affects.


The rockies mission had been the first manned mission to mars. The US government let that be the covor story for the true mission. Nobody at NASA knew about the new mission except for the top NASA personnal.


The rocky was finished in 2048. It took one year to assimble it in orbit. The ship was to big to launch from the surface.

In 2048 the crew was picked for the mission. The mission commander was Julie Osterloh, the navigator and pilot was Fred Stone. The mission specilists were Daniel Osterloh with phds in geography and electronics. Tom Derck phd in chemister. Felicia Derckphd in space engines. Thelma Stone phd in metalurgy. Mark and Maria Sanchez the ships fix it crew.

The mission being three years long(two years to Mars and back), NASA decided to use only married people to help do away with any uh um stress.

In january of 2049. They launched the Rocky toward Mars. The anomily was in such an orbit that the secret mission remained a secret from the crew until one month from Mars.

As the Rocky aproached the anomily. They saw that it was a big ring with a large space ship sticking out of it. They were ordered to dock with the wreckage.


After docking with the airlock on the clear side of the ship. mark was sent over to see if he could get it opened. As he began to open the airlock a beam of bright light moved up and down him. Then the airlock began to cycle. As the airlock opened there was a rush of air as the docking tube filled with air. After testing the air they found that it was Earth normal air.

Earth ordered them to the ring and the ship and bring back all infomation that they could. So as the lest important computers were being dismantled and transfered to the Rocky. Felicia studied the gate. She found a set of blue prints. As she studied the blue prints for the gate she relized that the designers of the gate had missed something and that it could be redigned and turned into an engine.

Earth at this time had 500 mil. living in orbit on satilites.

Julie was ordered to tow the derilick back to Mars and finish the Mars mission.

As they began to tow the derilick, the gate started to glow and tried to connect with the gate system it was supposed to be a part of. But, with the ship sticking in it like a knife, it wasn't able to connect and began to overload. The crew of the rocky cut it loose. Not knowing for sure when it was going to blow. They began to to transmit all fo the data that they had collected.

It took them a week to get all of the info transmitted. As they got the last iofit transmited, the gate blew up. Producing an explosion of light and radiation that engulfed the entire solar system. The effects of it lasted a week, all communications were cut off.

As the radiation and light returned to normal. All satilites, probes, and ships were gone.

The crew of the Rocky woke up to sirens and distress calls. The habitats were trying to reach NASA. Julie silenced the alarms and made sure that the Rocky was in one piece. Then she began to answer the calls of the habitats. It become obvouse to her and the crew that they were no longer in the Sol system. The system they were in now was identical to sol. Nine planets, one major astroid belt, and the third planet was earth like and uninhabited.

As the rocky headed to the new planet. The habitats began to send out survey crews to look over the planet. Not knowing where in the universe they were. It was decided to find suitable places to live and grow food on the surface.

So when the Rocky had reached the planet, settlement of Julie had begun. No one knows for sure why they had started calling it Julie but the name had stuck.

It has been 200 years or so since, the Osterloh family found its self castaways in this system. They are called the Osterloh family becouse. The Osterlohs don't do anything half way. When they get in fight their in it to win no matter the cost.
Meaning that at this point everybody or at least almost everyone on the planet is a member of the osterloh planet.

The Rocky was dismantled and the core of the ship was turned into a musium. The osterlohs have decided it was time to venture back into space and colonize the Mars type planet being called Julie two.

The presdent of the family, daniel was sitting at his desk when the admiral Moose of the space navy walked in with a bunch of blue prints in his arms. Setting the papers on the desk, the two men exchanged greetings.

Taking the blue prints and laying them out on the desk for pres. Daniel to look at. Adm. Moose said,"Sir we have a choose to make here, as our tech goes up we will be able to build bigger ships. Which means that we can either build a new shipyard for every ship size and class that we decide to build. Or we can build one or two shipyards on the ground and build one ship hull and weild the hulls together in space and thus getting our larger hulled ships." The President thought for awhile and said lets build two shipyards on the ground one for military and one for civilians ships. With that Adm Moose picked up his papers and left.

A couple of days later the lead scientist kyro came in careing a small device. He laid the device on the table and said,"We found this device a year ago in the old ruins of the predeceries that used to live here." Picking up the device and looking it over. Daniel asked Kyro,"And do you have a translation for the writings on the device."

Kyro said,"Yes sir we do, the writing says that it will make 5 planets in the system habitable and make the planet a 30 on the planet quailty scale, as you know Earth and Julie are 10 on the scale"

As Kyro was talking Daniel accenditly pushed a button as Kyro said,"It also comes with a warning that if the device is used not only will it upgrade our 5 planets. It will also upgrade 5 planets in all space faring races in the galaxy."

at which point the device began to glow and the entire planet got hit by a class 9 earth quake.

The last words out of Daniels mouth were oops.

In a far off corner of the galaxy Lord Kona picks himself up off the floor. Looking out of a window, at his nearly destroyed capital and swears to himself.

he sits down at his desk and summons the science board. Getting madder and madder. He waits for them to arrive.

as soon as the are all in his office. He screams,"I thought I ordered you to destroy that little black box." As the head scientist begins to speak, Kona picks up his favorite gun and desintigrates them all.
