Tooltip placement & Z-order with CXPPlus

Is there a way within CXP to move the default origin point of the Tooltip or to change its Z-order? I have a cursor set I really like to use, but the left half of most tooltips is hidden beneath the cursor (some tooltips appear above (toward the top of the screen, not "on top" of) the cursor but I think that is app-specific).

Good question, Daiwa. Watching this to see what suggestions might appear. Hidden tooltips have always bugged me, too.

I'm also interested in a solution to this. It is a bit annoying to try to see a tooltip and then it's blocked by the cursor.

I think all tool tips should appear above the cursor.

geeze..., i try many ways to change that(using Terranove skin), but there is no way to change that!

...maybe it's an internal windows script.

mmhh., maybe this may help, on some websites when u move your pointer it appear a little message., this one always follow your cursor., if someone could get into the script may have an idea of how to make it work in the .ini file of any cursoXp theme...

my two cents

Not certain if it is a CXP bug or dreaded "OS limitation" but an annoyance either way. A new version of CXP for Vista is in the works but it's doubtful it will address this issue on prior OS's (hope I'm wrong on that).

I was also wondering weather it was a bug or an "OS limitation". I am surprised that Cursor XP isn't updated more, according to Stardock Central the last version was released in 2003. I share you doubt that this will be addressed, at least in XP.

Aside from the tooltip issue, there's really nothing about CXP that needs to be "fixed" or enhanced - it was essentially a mature app when it was acquired by Stardock & does just about all a cursor program could do, I would think. Until Vista, there was no pressing need to update it. I've read that some people are using it in Vista already without problems (other than maybe the tooltip placement & z-order ).

I can't use some cursors as the tooltips are semi blocked by the cursor itself.
Hope someone can find a solution.
