Dreams for Money - OK BY ME !!!!!!!

Let me clue you in here , I've had 2 Dreams accepted and have 4 more waiting for approval and a few more in the works . I had 2 kicked back for glitches in the looping and I pulled 2 myself 'cause I wasn't happy with the loops . One that was kicked back I worked on for a day trying to make a better loop ( it ain't easy ) still wasn't perfect but it has been re-submitted - the other one - I got it PERFECT . I've been working on this stuff for a couple of weeks now and I gotta say it's allot of work .I almost think why all this effort from me and the other artists to give it it to you for FREE ?( Enjoy the Freebies ) that We and Stardock make for you ........ but if any of these can make a buck for a small charge , they deserve every dime they get !!! .... This is WinCustomize and you are use to ALL the free stuff and there's tons of it , but when something extra nice comes along with a charge attached to it - give it up to the artist it's well deserved - you never have to buy it ( it's your option ) ... i'm pretty sure most of the people complaining about a charge now and then are takers , NOT the makers - 'cause if you were a maker you would understand about the charge .... lol and do enjoy ALL the ( Freebies ) ..

I agree, if people want to charge money for a few seconds of looped video that's fine.................as long as they don't expect me to pay for it

The free one's are just fine.

As You put it a " few seconds of looped video " can actually take a few hours or more
to Perfect and fine tune - and what about the simple all video ones ? - well first you had to shoot the video , then download it , put into a video making program , edit , play with it till it's right , crop what you want and save - now to the Dream making process - soooooooooo in all your few seconds of video actually took hours to produce.
What's your time worth to you ? I Give it up to all the Makers here who give their time and effort so the Takers can enjoy all the Free Stuff - but if He/She asks for a few bucks - what the heck - they really do deserve it ! .

Ants work all year round only for a grasshopper to come along and take whatever they please. The ants don't mind. They don't know any better. Who's the smart one in the picture?

In total agreement. Ive spent solid months on Wb \ VS, I don't think non skinners have much of an idea how much time and work goes into a good piece of Digital Art.

I've been playing around with my vid editor lately and know full well how much work can go into just a few seconds of (good) looping video. Like what was alluded to before, some of the "they should all be free" whiners probably have no blinkin' idea of how much goes into some of those Dreams. Some of their posts lead me to think that they truly believe they are "speaking for the masses". Ridiculous. I'm sure that when the full version comes out, there'll be plenty of good, free Dreams to keep most of them sedated, but there will always be a cheap few who will complain, try to circumvent the system, etc..

Did you read my post?

I said it's fine with me if they want to charge but i will be keeping my similiarly hard earned cash and using the free offerings as well as offering anything i 'create', for free, to anyone else who may want it.

I couldn't care less how long something takes some of you to complete....if you don't enjoy it i suggest you don't do it

While it does appear Grasshopper has the upper hand - he still is an ASS for complaining that there are no Oreo Cookies in todays takings ! Maybe smarter Grasshopper leaves a little summin' summin' for the Ant to return the next day and fine a Oreo waiting for him . ( again Makers and Takers 2 points of view , I guess . )

This Post was made to clue some people in on the amount of time and effort it takes to produce the fine work you see here - just in case they weren't fully aware - NOBODY should catch Heat for asking a small charge if they feel it's warranted - Skinners should get a pat on the back for all they do and nothing LESS !!!

People should not feel they have to buy anything. Similarly, people should not feel entitled to free stuff either.

I personally wouldn't buy anything that isn't of very top-notch quality. I understand how much work goes into it but I also expect commercial quality if the product is..well..commercial.
