The Metaverse Council (MVC) would like to announce the formation of the Metaverse Times. The concept of the Metaverse Times grew out of discussions within the MVC about having a simple thread on the GalCiv2 forums where news and announcements from the MVC would be posted.
From these humble beginnings the Metaverse Times has taken a life of it's own. Primarily due to the single handed work and effort of Editor-in-Chief, Drengin, a Blog has been set up and some structure is beginning to be defined. While the Metaverse Times will be the "official" news outlet for the MVC, the goal is for the Metaverse Times to cover all things Metaverse whether MVC related or not as well as covering topics of general GalCiv2 interest.
The Metaverse Times is still in it’s infancy but there are already a number of things defined. The Staff of the Metaverse Times consists of Drengin (Editor-in-Chief) and G.W. Swicord (Managing Editor). Yet to be named to the Metaverse Times Staff will be a MVC Liaison and perhaps others. The Staff of the Metaverse Times shall be solely responsible for it’s content.

There are also two private forums to which "freelance" writers and regular "reporters" can post their articles. These articles will be selected and edited by the Metaverse Times Staff before being "published". The Metaverse Times is soliciting people interested in contributing to the Times as either a regular "reporter" or on a "freelance" basis. If you wish to contribute as either, please report to The Metaverse Times Helpdesk and follow directions there.
Even if you have no desire to contribute as a writer, there are many aspects of the who, what, where, when, how and why that are not yet defined. Everyone should feel free to stop by The Metaverse Times Helpdesk and contribute your ideas, suggestions and comments. Don’t be shy.
