Need help with SDC

Ok, I bought SR2 from Totalgaming.net and followed the directions all the way to downloading the Stardock Central setup. I ran it, and after it asks me to put in my account info, it tells me i have a 1001 error and cant connect to the internet. The FAQ and Support from the Totalgaming.net and stardock sites have been of no help, so I'm hoping someone here can help me out. Thanks.
