"Dream" is a nightmare!

I have been waiting and waiting for Stardock to release Deskscapes...or .dream, whatever we have decided to call it.

Finally...and it turns out not to work!

I installed it...and the sample file flickers violently...then stops...now it is a static wallpaper.

Ok, I tried downloading another one. Great no flicker...but never does it run a video.

WHAT is going on? My Vista Ultimate Dreamscene works great with MPEG or WMV...awesome in fact...but the Stardock product is for me a flop. Did anyone actually get it to run?

I sure hope I do not need more system:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 ghz
2 GB Ram
256 ATI Video

I'm having issues too, both with Dreamscenes and DeskScapes. The videos speed up and slow down while running. It looks as if they slow down to accomodate something else going on in the system, and then they run really fast to catch up. It's not a stutter, but a VERY noticeable change in the speed of the playback. It's extremely distracting and makes the animations unusable.

The interesting thing is that the .dream files exhibit this behaviour much, much worse than just a video loaded into Dreamscene.

My system is an AMD 3400+, 1.2 gig of RAM, and an NVidia GeForce 7800 GS with 256 meg of video memory, so I know the system isn't the issue.
