Vienna
Give Microsoft time to get the kinks out, perfect the system and of course allows me time to save up for the 6 or 8 Gbs of Ram that the newest OS will likely need

I know that there are a thousand good reasons to switch to Vista now...this putter is quite capable but there are a million more not to at this time Driver & program updates being the main ones.

It's My Secret

knowing microsoft, you'll probably need 32 GB's of ram when they release the new OS..especially with all the crap they have running in the back ground

3% of the market and Mac fanatics are always claiming that the Mac has this or that before Windows

I believe it is 100% of mac fanatics.

I'm one of those mac fanatics I got my first mac back in 06 and I will never turn back to winblows! BTW: it's true how vista copied OS X, see david pougue's vid on it

Allowing you to access your folders anywhere? Sounds like a lot could go wrong . I wonder if they'll be able to pull off a secure way to do it?

A Vista SP1 would be nice about now, to correct driver issues among other bugs. I have a brand new Vista Home Premium set-up with a dead Hitachi 320gb SATA after using the system for 2 weeks. I'm back to my two IDE drives, which work fine. My 7950GX2 kicks butt, and the latest forceware drivers seem to work fine...SLI enabled. I've run into problems with selecting multiple files (Ctrl A) at times. I have to reset my folder options to their default settings to help with that problem. Overall, Vista is working pretty smooth for me and the Core 2 Duo E6800 is lightning fast. 2gb Corsair helps speed things up as well. Gaming: I don't play Quake 4 anymore, but I run UT 2004 with graphics cranked to "Holy S!$T" settings. The game is fluid...absolutely no issues with gaming graphics (5.9 rating)!

Bottom line: I say MS make a Vista SP1/SP2 patch, which will turn your Vista set-up into stable and reliable system MS had originally intended. Hmm, maybe they can call the next patch "Vienna", which changes your Vista computer into a new Vienna system, complete with new themes, colors, bootskins, wallpapers, logon screens, dreamscenes (even for Basic and Premium), etc, etc.

i pretty much like the vienna name better but i really don't care as long as it has the task bar, start menu and aero (glass) of vista ultimate i'm not really worried bout the name

I said i wouldn't say anything else, but, jezz. Never heard anything like this. Mac, Linux, Vista, XP. My computer is 3 or 4 years old, running Vista Ultimate. No problems. Maybe you need to learn how to do it, before you do it. Everything is so easy. People make it as hard as they possibly can. Won't say anything else.

I like it. I don't mind that they keep releasing new versions or that you need new hardware every year to keep up. I like it.

I may be alone, but I like it.

Microsoft ain't all that and a bag of chips, but then either is the Mac, which, in case you missed it, is now a PC.

HAHAHAHA! Good one and i think they are like 100% not 3%

Vienna is used for running a basic HTTP server and MinWin is a stripped down version of the Windows kernel that will be used as the foundation for Windows Vienna.
