Facial features

Just recently I had a thought. Why is it I will automatically 'judge' some people by their facial features? I'll see a guy with certain facial features and think "he's probably an asshole" or see a woman with certaint facial features and think "she's probably a bitch".

I can't figure this out. The worst part is I know through experience that these types of stereotyping aren't correct. I've met people who I first thought that about that weren't assholes nor bitches... yet upon first see'ing them that was my opinion of them.

Maybe we can chalk another one up to the media? Or maybe just chalk it up to the entire film industry or personal past experience? I guess it could be any of those things...

I dont know if I would blame Hollywood. We all have it to a degree. But it is the wise ones that live the maxim "dont judge a book by its cover" that learn to get to know people before passing final judgement on them.

Well the problem is how to do such? It's hard to do so no matter who you are IMO...

I seem to not be able to help myself but to judge, though I know my 'first opinion' isn't anywhat true... I still do it though, it seems something I just cant stop...

And some people just look weird... LoL
