Spore technology affect end score?

Ive finally made a commitment to a metaverse game(aka forced myself to sit through an entire game for once to get the end score).

Anyways, my question is does the use of the spore technology affect the score at all?

Basically Im playing neutral Altarians for a military win and Im about half way through the civs, killed off 5 and 5 more to go. Really the only competition left are the Korath who Ive always had warm relations with and they must have gifted their spore technology to the Yor when I was kicking their asses in an attempt to stop me. Long story short, I stole the technology and used it to take out the Krynn and Terrans. But in doing so I feel like its almost cheating how easy it is to wipe out an entire planet with one ship(as well as guilty in killing all those people :x) But Im 'in it to win' so if its cheaper and quicker to use a spore ship than a couple transports whats the harm? I just wanted to know if that 'cheating' affects the score at all because to be honest I have no idea how it is calculated. Thanks in advance!

Oh dang, i had no idea..should i even bother finishing this game then or will my score just be backlogged on metaverse until DA is accepted?

As for feeling guilty that it's "too easy", there is one major downside to using spore ships. Hit too many planets at once and your economy is basically dead. You get a whole lot of maintenance expenses and no revenue for a long time.
