Now on DVD: This Film is Not Yet Rated

New to DVD in the past week was a documentary film that was released on DVD.  It's a film that got virtually no advertising, little press, and a complete lack of marketing presence -- because of the NC-17 rating the film was saddled with. Why an NC-17 rating?  That's part of the irony of the movie.  The movie is all about the MPAA's rating system and how fair, or unfair, the system is to independent films, and films in general.

I don't want to spoil the film for potential viewers, and I really do recommend that everyone try to watch the film.  It's not appropriate for younger children, but should be acceptable viewing materials for most teens and older youth.

Extremely sensitive individuals (persons put off by nudity, cursing, etc.) should pass, but then again they'd be missing a wonderful education into the film ratings business and how dangerously close to censorship it really is.
