Snakes do like hotdogs!

Just not the kind you're thinking of...

Huge python makes a meal of 11 guard dogs Fri Jan 26, 9:58 AM ET

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 26 (Reuters Life!) - Guard dogs protecting a fruit orchard in Malaysia have met their match -- a 7.1-metre-long (23-ft-long) python that swallowed at least 11 hounds before it was finally discovered by villagers.

Now that's gotta be one hell of a surprise....but perhaps the most shocking this is that the villagers didn't kill the snake, they tied it to a tree and handed it over to wildlife officials. I suppose this is an example of how wildlife conservation is finally getting through to some people....and I'm glad to see it. Kinda feel sorry for all those dogs, though, but hey....that's nature for ya.

So was the snake Korean or Vietnamese?

No wonder the dog catcher had nothing to do.

And this is what you are going to be doing when you graduate?

"Um, there is hair in my throat.  Well python, it is the hair of the dog you bit!"

See this is why I don't like snakes. Yuck.

Wow! That's one big snake! I'm suprised they didn't kill it too. That was very humane of them to give it to the animal people. Poor doggies!

i wonder what kind and size of the dogs it ate? Were they Chihuahuas or Saint bernards? would make a big difference to me if I was a villager there!

Chihuahuas are not hounds,  But then neither are Saint Bernards.  However, most hounds I have seen are of good size.  In other words - keep your kids inside!

When my oldest son was about two and we lived in the country there was this HUGE bobcat that started hanging around the place and I started kinda getting worried about my son playing in the back yard with out us being RIGHT THERE. I mean, this cat was BIG and would have hade no problem carrying him away! Luckily he finally went away on his own after he had harvested every single cottontail rabit on the place! I was glad too1

It is surprising they didn't kill it as they are considered a delicacy in that part of the world. That snake probably would have fed the whole village.

Snake tastes better than dog too!

Like Chicken! Probably one of the few other animals that actually does!

Wow...never expected this much feedback for passing on a news article.

If all goes according to plan...but I really don't have a preference for what I'm working with...anything will do. Just gotta make sure I don't get eaten and I'll be happy.

They were probably a decent size...being guard dogs and all...but I doubt the snake ate them all at once.

Nice cartoon, Shovel.
