looking for an empire to join

i want to join an empire but dont know which are active. Anyone know an active empire?

Are all fairly large and very active.

Hitchhikers of the Galaxy is small, but it's players are active.

The Free World Alliance just recently formed and is also looking to get on it's feet.

Some of the others do have active members, but they tend to not be so post happy as the first four I listed.

If you are going to be spending much time on the forums, I would suggest browsing through some of the threads looking for like minded individuals. When you see them, check out which empire they belong to....It also often worth checking out the home sites of your prospective empire to get a feel for what is going on over there.

Just go to the Metaverse page and click on high scores, then click on the empire in the list. On the left below the logo is a join empire button.

TFL will be recruiting once game is open... we base upon gameplay and attitude.... look us up when the game comes out for multiplayer

There are pros and cons to multiplayer. I think I would have some interest in multiplayer when it comes out. But in the meantime there is a game size, style and level that you can play that you'll find challenging, fun and can vastly improve your skill.

Why wait for multiplayer, you can see how well you can do against others right now. Form an empire and jump in. We'll be waiting for you.

We of the Hitchhikers would love to have you, we are small but we want to accomplish a lot. We are concentrated more towards the Hitchhikers universe, but we welcome anyone and everyone. We are also the founders of TBSmodders a growing modder site for turn based games.

Even you dont join, come and check out the forums and get some info on mods that are in development or already released.   

As for Arrakis we would welcome you warmly, we are an Empire concentrated on the Dune universe. We play for fun and treasure the bonds of the community over the petty difference of Empire alignment, so which ever Empire you join, remember that we are part of the same community.

You can't if you're a "lone wolf" . You need to be a member of one of the top 50 AltMeta-ranked empires.

Actually the altmeta now covers the top 100 empires, though the empire stats only show the top 50 of those. So if you have a score of at least ~30k, you can just make a one-man-empire if you like and the altmeta will start keeping stats for you (obviously if lots of people do this the minimum score will rise).

Great Banners Kryo! Will have to get myself one of those...

The BC Space Orca's are always looking for people to join their empire (of which I am a member).

We have some of the highest ranked players in the business (including rank no. 1!!)

So pop on by to the Space Orca's post and have a looka t some of the hints and tips hidden within!

Oh Kryo, for some reason on the Hitchhiker's page, TheGreatEmperor's character's score isn't being counted, only mine. Might this be due to him having a character in the Arrakis Imperium as well?

Not sure what you're talking about, unless there was a hiccup in a prior update. It looks fine to me right now.
