Not all skin elements being applied...

Of the suites I have used that have custom start menus and scroll bars, those elements don't seem to work on my system. Are these elements that can't be applied to the free version or is there a setting I missed which needs to be changed?

You need the full version to skin everything. The 'free' version is only meant as a trial to see if you like the software.

There is no free version.    There is a trial version and it does not skin everything.

The purchased version is well worth the $20US

If you are talking about WindowBlinds, scroll bars are not skinned by free/trial versions, start menu will not be skinned if you are using Classic Start Menu.

Thanks so much for your quick replies. Start menu is now applied. Is the $49 for ObjectDesktop a one time purchase of the full version or is it an annual fee to keep using the full version?

Object desktop is a great investment. It gives you a whole suite of apps for one year. After that, it's $35US per year.

Apps you get today: https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/features.asp
And you get any new apps added during the year. You can archive the apps and continue to use the latest version you have forever.

It is an annual subscription to keep receiving updates to software. The renewal price after first year is less. If you do not renew you will still have and be able to use forever the software versions you received during subscription.
