In game voice-overs

that's what you call it?

it is very important for the ship to ship communication to be serious. When a ship is taking damage I'd expect to hear a distressed voice. When kicking the crap out of enemy they should be focused and content. Doing this I find the gamer is drawn in more so.

I don't like games where voice over between ships is like listening to a bunch of kids trying to be funny. Cataclysm voice overs are horrendous. Homeworlds voice over = WIN

Yea good voice would be a nice addition, but not an important one.

A perfect example of good voice-overs would be Company of Heroes. That game even specified what was attacking a particular unit and whether they were holding against the attack, losing or winning.
Something like that would be nice

Or Dow(with the exception of the new Force Commander), they had too with a few diffrent voice templates as well based on what they were assigned to attack.
